Overview

Anyone who throws crankbaits knows it takes the right rod to really be effective. We want medium action rods that won't tear out hooks but not a noodle rod that can't set a hook or move a big bass. Many companies are forced to use fiberglass for their cranking rods because it is very difficult to design a 100% graphite rod that has the right action and power with out collapsing under pressure and shattering with a big fish on the line. St. Croix has used their many years of rod building experience to produce a crankbait rod that performs exactly like you expect a crankbait rod should. These blanks are 100% SCII graphite that have been designed to give the perfect moderate crankbait action, plenty of hooksetting and fish fighting power and the ability to cast a crankbait as far as you could want. The St Croix Premier Crankbait Rods are very sensitive and will let you feel the lightest take and feel the lure ticking through grass and brush. These rods are light in weight with top quality Fuji Concept Guides and premium ergonomically correct cork creating the perfect cranking rod especially for the angler who throws a lot of crankbaits. The medium rod is perfect for light to medium heavy crankbaits and the medium heavy rod throws medium weight cranks up to the big cranks perfectly. The heavy rod is for big to really big stuff.

Comments: These rods are built with unmatched quality when compared to other manufacturers. I recently came across the 7' MH cranking and I couldn't be more impressed with the materials used to construct this rod. It'll definitely be my go-to cranking setup for this upcoming Spring! If you haven't picked up a St. Croix yet don't hesitate, USA made, you can't go wrong.

Comments: these are excellent fishing rods!! By far my favorite to date, great bend, great guides and pairs well with many types of reels. I use a 7' heavy action paired with an avet sx 2 speed reel in saltwater for lingcod/rockcod and two 7' med/heavy paired with abu revo sx(40) spinning and casting reels for smallies and stripers in freshwater. For sunfish and trout I use the 6' med/light and the 6'6" medium paired with sizes (10) and (20) abu Garcia orra s reels
