Berkley Vanish Transition Fluorocarbon

Anglers have long known that 100% fluorocarbon line is nearly invisible to fish and this fact has catapulted premium fluorocarbon line to the front of the pack when anglers are faced with a tough bite and clear water conditions. Fluorocarbon lines also offer less stretch for more sensitivity and great abrasion resistance. Berkley has been a leader in the fishing line industry since monofilament lines were first introduced and when they created a 100% fluorocarbon line, it had to be good. Now, Berkley has improved their Vanish Fluorocarbon line by making it softer and more flexible for less tangles and easier casting even on spinning gear. Since fluorocarbon does not soak up water knot and tensile strength are not compromised.

Berkley Transition Fluorocarbon offers the same invisibility of the regular Vanish but adds a photosensitive coloring so you can easily see the line above the waterline but it becomes invisible below. Try the popular Berkley Vanish next time you want to spool up some fluorocarbon.

Comments: I have been using this Floro since it came on the market for year round walleye fishing making dropshot leaders, crawler harnesses, leader for pulling crankbaits and jigging. It is a proven winner in my book. I have never had a knot fail me nor snell. I use it for trolling for rainbow trout and kokanee too. Now, you must test your knots with this stuff! Not all knots work well. The Best Knot: double the line and put it thru the swivel, wrap up the mainline 5 or 6 times and place tag into the hole you just made at the bottom of the wraps, then bring the tag back up the big hole you just made. Wet well and cinch slowly. You will have 3 tag ends essentially. Tested this knot at shows and is over 100% every time. When floro breaks cut off another foot of line above the break then tie knot. I only use this line for leader material, braided line on the reels.

Comments: I love this line in 12# CLEAR/GOLD. You can see the line really jump on light takes. It really shines when bed fishing  because you can watch the line move off the beds even when you can't feel the "take" especially on smallies. If you fish Fluorocarbon you should try a spool.
