The “split-grip” handle design transmits added vibrations through the blank and lightens the weight of the rod. The lighter the rod the more you feel the fish. "Smart Touch” reel seats are coated with a soft texture for added grip on the rod during all weather conditions. Standard on all Kistler's is the no fore grip design. The cork has been removed to increase vibrations so you can detect subtle strikes by placing your index finger directly on the graphite blank.

New stainless steel guides are specially designed to protect and keep in place the ceramic inserts. The tip-top guide is enhanced with Kistler's exclusive flanged ring insert eliminating any accidental knockouts and standard with all Kistler rods is their exclusive “hook hanger” system.
