Additionally, Daiwa re-designed their highly effective Magforce-Z automatic anti-backlash system to provide even more precise backlash control, thereby increasing maximum casting distance and precision. The new system allows the spool to start up faster and spin longer because the Magforce-Z only applies its smooth magnetic braking when completely necessary. Once a big bass is on, the massive seven-disc drag system with Daiwa's exclusive Fiber Composite washers, provides super smooth fish fighting power and precise drag adjustments. The compact size of the Daiwa Fuego makes it extremely comfortable to palm, and with its larger line capacity and premium features, it is a certified all-around bass reel. Complete with dynamic red and magnesium styling, the Team Daiwa Fuego out-performs other similar reels with considerably bigger price tags.
Note: Do not use the Fuego in salt or brackish water environments since you may damage the magnesium components.

Comments:This reel is amazing for this price. I have an STX and this blows it out of the water. It's super smooth, light, and more comfortable to palm. I got it with the Daiwa Mike Iaconelli cranking stick and it works amazing. I use it for crankbaits and small topwater lures. With 20lb braid I can throw a 1/4 oz. Zara Pup 30 yards accurately. Only complaint I have about this reel, the gear ratio is slow, but other than that it's amazing.

Comments:I purchased this reel when it was $229 and it was worth every penny then...its nice, light and smooth and after a couple of years it still works great...With the deal that its at now, you can't beat the price...

Comments:I got this reel when was $175 USD around September. Nice and smooth working. I use it for plastics, casts easy 6 grams and more, very good deal at $145 USD. Now in January I made a changed the spool with a hyper long cast spool from a Zillion. It matched perfectly and is casting 4 grams with ease, just like my Steez. Was a great deal!

Comments:I got the reel early on at a higher price and have used it up on Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. I caught some nice smallies and largemouth with it and it is just as great as all of my Daiwa's!!
