Team Daiwa Viento Casting Reels - $109.99
Daiwa's Viento Reel continues Team Daiwa's technological dominance in the field of building innovative reels. While the Viento is loaded with exotic features that have become standards for Daiwa, the Viento brings something never seen before in any reel built to date; the Twitchin' Bar. This unique feature allows you to pick up the slack in your line without ever touching the reel handle. With the flick of a switch the spool spins and picks up as much as 20" of line! What this means in real life is that you can be shaking a worm or hopping a jig and instantly, with the flick of your thumb retrieve your slack line and shake, hop, or crawl your bait further without using your other hand to crank in line. The Twitchin' Bar will also allow you to crawl your bait; press the bar slowly and retrieve 4" of line to inch your bait along the bottom. This one-handed operation will give you more control over you baits and increase your efficiency in everyday fishing situations.
Viento also brings you the other great Daiwa features that you'd expect in a reel of this caliber; Magforce magnetic anti-backlash control; ultralight, perforated Free Floating Spool for instant start up even with light lures; Super Drag for fish fighting power; Titanium Nitride line guide for smoothness and long life; and one-piece aluminum frame and sideplate for strength and durability. Viento means wind and this reel is a breeze to fish with!

Comments: Best reels I have owned and have had them since they came out. I have 4 of these set up and count on them all the time. They are really a tremendous deal!!!
From: David: Carp, Ontario Canada
Comments: This reel is hot garbage...I've never had so many bird's nests. I think its broken now too, I hear parts rattling around in it or something grinding...For the price you should be able to beat the crap out of it. I have several revos and other abu garica products and a couple of shimanos and they are way better. This product has really discouraged me from purchasing any diawa product...Especially because they are so exspensive.
From: Robert: Davenport, IA
Comments:Great real for the money, I've got 4 of em..
From:Dave: Gilroy, CA
Comments:I bought this reel because I wanted to try a baitcaster reel and read many times, you get what you pay for. Well you get more then what you pay for with this one.
From:Juan: Stevens Point, WI
Comments:I got this reel with the Cielo rod, heavy 7'. awesome setup...I've gotten so use to the twitchin bars too since I started with the megaforces...works great especially when your fishin with one arm and a beer in the other:)
From:Zoo: California, USA
Comments:Just got my new Diawa Viento reel. Nice reel with a cool feature. I caught a couple of spotted bass the first trip out with a finesse worm and jig setup using the twitching bar. Made it easy to control the bait's movement down the bank and across the bottom. I Am ordering another now!
From:Bob: Hendersonville, NC
Comments:Today I was fishing a small local pond and this very large bass kept swimming back and forth. Long story short, I threw everything in my tackle box at that fish, and it wouldn't hit anything until I started to work an Ocho with the twitchin' bar. It wasn't the ocho that made the difference, it was the twitchin' bar. Turned out to be about a 5.5 or 6 lb bass and the reel handled it flawlessly.
From:Richard: Iowa, USA
Comments:Great reel, really smooth, a bit on the heavier side but the twichin bar is nice on soft plastics and jigs, prefect on a all around rod.
From:Joe: Chicago, IL
Comments:What a reel from Daiwa!. Great for slow presentations, great lure control from the Twitching bar! I have mine paired with a Carrot Stick and spooled with Seaguar fluorocarbon and it gives me what I need to feel em and sockit to em!
From:Michael: Ripley, TN
Comments:When I first started fishing I had tried buying some cheap bait casters and found myself disappointed every time, so I stuck with spin cast reels only. I finally decided to give it one more shot and got one more bait caster. I was a little apprehensive about spending $200 on a reel that I figured I most likely wouldn't like: however I bought the Daiwa Vient and honestly can say I couldn't be more satisfied. The old saying you get what you pay for really proves itself in this instance. The only thing about the reel is the twitchin bar, this feature doesn't inhibit my ability to cast or anything: however I don't really see the need for it.
From:Larry: Macomb, IL
Comments:My son, who has Down's syndrome, is my fishing partner. He uses the Daiwa Viento - likes the twitchin' bar. Have only owned four other brands, but these reels are the only I have been able to set the casting control to prevent overruns for him. This entire line - Zillion and 50th Anniversary are quality machines.
