Customer Reviews

Comments: I fish for bass almost every day and my spinning set-up is the TD-Advantage -A (stands for Awesome) on a johnny Morris 6'8med fast tip rod. Like all the others have stated, this is one honey of a reel. Never had any problems with it in 2 years.

From: Tony: RI

Comments: It's a shame Daiwa is doing away with these. Smoothest spinning reel I own. Love the air bail - best feature. Great drag, but a little heavy. Curious to see how the new Aird and Ballistic will compare. I see Daiwa has cut some weight.

From: Mark: Spokane, WA

Comments: I have 2 reels in the 2000 size and it is the smoothers reel i have used. i only used them to throw soft plastic an small hard bodies on.  On the 3000 size i watch a mate catch a GT Travelly which was 1.2 meter long  and weighed around 15kg. The drag in the reel was very smooth and at no time did he feel he was going to loose it due to reel failure. I wish the warehouse would stock some of the larger size.

Comments:Have used 2500 model of TD Advantage for over a year, including 2008 tournament season. Flawless performance. Smooth drag, smooth reel altogether. Have used this reel as part of a shaky head / finesse setup with 6'9" medium light extra-fast action rod and 8# fluorocarbon. One of the nicest Daiwa reels I've fished.

From:Bill: New Jersey

Comments:I have two 2000 models and love em, the drag is great and the airbail is a plus also, have caught many small and largemouth bass on them with no problems.
