Comments: Awesome reel for the money! just as good as my supreme XT just not as light.

Comments: This is another great reel from Pflueger. Although I would suggest buying the cheaper Trion over the President. I own both and I can't tell any difference in performance, other than the President just looks a little nicer. If you're looking at either of the two reels and money is an issue, save the 20 bucks and purchase a Trion instead.

Comments: Great reel for the money, I have 4 of them and am about to order 2 more. I primarily use PowerPro Braided line, and it works great.

Comments: I have this reel on a 6'9" Fenwick med heavy HMX (amazing rod btw). I've taken to tossing texas rigged worms with it in the river. I've got the 12.2 oz model spooled with 10 lb mono and it has all the cranking power you need. Casts smooth and far. It handled a 12 lb. paddlefish just fine!!! But I am with Ted on the retrieval problem. The reel had gotten a little less smooth after about 9 months of use until I oiled it up the other night. Everything is fine now! I'd recommend this reel to anyone. Good bang for your buck. Solid and sturdy.

Comments: I have fished this reel for 2 seasons. I did have a rivot come loose on the bail hingel. I had it repaired under warranty. The reel is not as smooth on the retrieve as it used to be. This reel needs to be cleaned and oiled often. I use mine for drop-shotting and split shotting. The anti-reverse has zero backplay!

Comments: Incredibly great reel for the money. The drag is very smooth and the reel is light and ergonomic. I use it mostly for bass fishing but once I let my uncle use it for surf perch (even though it's not saltwater approved). Even after he completely dunked it in the surf and the gearbox started to seize up, a small amount of gear oil in the bearings was all it took to get everything working smoothly again.

Comments: I only have one spinning reel in my arsenal that cost less than $100.00 and this is it, (out of 7, mostly Shimanos). I've had it for a few years now and it has become my primary spinning reel, (I do love my Shimanos, though. Couldn't really say why I always seem to pick this one up when I switch from casting to spinning). I honestly forgot how little I paid for it until I started thinking about getting another one and logged on here to Tackle Warehouse. I love this reel, (even the wooden knob, which can be a little hard to handle in adverse conditions), and I'm getting another one. You just can't beat the quality for this price.

Comments: This is a great reel i have only good thing to say about it. the durability is great i have hit it on things drop it in sand and every thing you can think of doing with a reel has been done and it work just as good as the day i got it.
From: Matt: Chesterfield, IN
Comments:This is a pretty good reel, fairly smooth and durable, but the wooden knob on here sucks. Its too hard to hold onto when fishing in wet conditioning or if you're catching fish and the slime starts flying. I switched mine out for a rubber knob and have been pretty happy with it. It has stood up to trips in saltwater pretty well also. Pflueger, lose the slippery wooden knob!

Comments:This is by far the best reel for the buck!!!!!!!!!! I have taken my 6730X to it's limits. First I use this reel for salt water surf fishing for halibut spooled with 30 spectra and 10 FC leader and that little reel brought me in a 16lb halibut no problem. I also use it for fresh water LMB and that little thing has my PB of 9lb 4oz. You just can't go wrong spending $60 and getting the durability if a $200 reel.
