The Mission Fish Swimbait is a California original that has been catching fish and winning tournaments all over the State known for innovative tackle. The Mission Fish Swimbait was developed to address several concerns that arise when throwing the big baits. How do you make a strong, realistic bait that won't break apart after catching a couple of fish? How do you reach deeper fish? And most importantly, how do you keep the bait weedless and still get a hook in the fish when you get bit? Mickey, at 3:16 Lures, came up with solutions to these problems and incorporated them into the Mission Fish Swimbait. To create a realistic looking swimbait body, he molded in a plastic encased lead weight with a hole bored through it so that the line will thread through before tying on to the hook. This system keeps the line inside the hard plastic so when a big fish bites and swings the lure around while trying to throw it, the line will not cut through the bait; a real problem with some swimbaits. The weedless part is accomplished by providing the lure with a huge single hook that can be rigged open by pushing it completely through the back or weedless by simply pushing the point of the hook back into the plastic on top of the bait, Texas-style.
We carry the Mission Fish Swimbait in all the sizes and the best colors for any body of water in the United States. The five and six inch sizes are good to use as a swimbait, and they're often flipped or pitched into thick cover where they can be fished with confidence because of the weedless design. The seven, eight, and nine inch sizes are excellent fish catchers in any lake, whether there are trout in the lake or not. We all know big fish eat small fish. These baits will prove that big fish eat big baits too.
5" weight 1.2oz, 6" weight 1.3oz, 7" weight 1.6oz, 8" weight 2.08oz, 9" weight 3.2oz.

Comments: I have used the 9" Mission Fish Swimbait for muskies. If you
haven't, try it - especially around vegetation. For you muskie anglers, this bait can move
FAST without losing its balance, a real plus for triggering big toothy critters.

Comments: I love the swimbaits. I think it'll take time to get used to fishin with
them. I have found that my hookup ratio is not up to par, I have missed some really big fish.
However I did catch a nice bass the other day that wieghed 5lb 8 oz. I had that 9 or 10 lb.
toad on this past weekend but it got off. All in all I love the swimbaits.

Comments: Great lure. Rigging is the best. It acts and swims like a real fish. I try
every lure I buy in my swimming pool and I get the see the real action. I'm going to Utah this
week. I going to try on smallies and TigerMuskies. Just wish you had a perch color.
