Real California by Lucky Craft is one of the most exciting and unique baits to come along in this lure class in a long time. The Real California measures 5" from nose to the end of the back section and the optional spinner tail or Gel Tail will add an extra inch. This length makes Real California one of the smaller lures in this category and the superb finishes and actions will make it a real fish catcher. Weighing only one ounce this compact swimbait can be used with any medium-heavy casting rod you already own, no need for specialized tackle. This enables you to use Real California in a variety of situations whether you are fishing tournaments or just out for the day.

When the Real California is retrieved at slow to medium speeds the bait will ëwake' across the surface creating fish attracting ripples that zero in a bass's attention right to the bait. The noise from the swimming lure caused by the two jointed sections knocking together is perfectly tuned and will make bass charge the bait. If you use the blade tail, the spinning tail will add flash and thump as well, or switch to the optional Gel Tail for a different swimming action and increased ripples and water movement. Drop your rod tip down and pull the bait underwater for a different presentation and different noise. Comments: Big baits catch big fish.  I have caught good largemouth, smallmouth, and walleye on this thing.  Looks really good in the water.  Not the most aerodynamic bait around so tune your reel up to avoid backlashes.  Great details and coloring like all Lucky Craft products.  Most bites have come when cranking it fairly rapidly, and although it looks good as a slow wake bait I have yet to draw a strike that way.  Prefer the gel tail over the blade.
