Stocker Trout Swimbait

The Stocker Trout Swimbait has accounted for some really huge bass in California, where this bait was developed. Among the big swimbaits, the Stocker Trout has one of the most natural swimming actions. The plastic is very dense and there is a little lead in the head of the Stocker Trout which makes it heavy enough to cast a long way and reach the bottom if you want to fish it deep. The seven and nine inch models have only one molded in hook. A stinger or trailer hook can be easily added. Just tie heavy mono or super braid from the eye of the hook to a treble hook and insert one point in the back third of the bait. This unique feature of the Stocker Trout and its unbelievable swimming action is due to the addition of a clear Plexiglas paddle that extends through the body of the bait just behind a deep indentation that flexes as the bait moves. This combination causes the tail section to wave sideways with a perfect swimming action that almost exactly mimics a trout.
