Comments: Budget guy here, as a freshman in high school with almost no income, this reel is a winner for me. Of course it's not going to compete with more expensive reels: but it doesn't have to. for me, this reel has been the perfect option for frog, jig and medium sized swimbait fishing. The 20 pounds of drag (insane amount for a 70 dollar reel, I should mention) make this reel a perfect option for power fishing. Of course there are going to be some little nuances that could be fixed, but at this price point with the specs this reel has I don't see anything to complain about. as far as what you're paying for, this is a killer reel. Light and casts a mile if you set it right, feels great in the palm, and only a mild amount of noise, this is a great option for the price point.

Comments: A lot of noise when turning the handles, squeaks a lot but when you tune it right it can cast a mile. It' priced at $70 but should be $30. I'd recommend a lew's speed spool over this for the same price or cheaper.

Comments: bought this reel with high hopes of getting a mid-grade cranking reel, but I was disappointed.the reel spool was not tight enough to the reel housing. my new line kept getting past the spool. messed up two spools of line. I will not be trying any more 13 reels.

Comments: This reel felt ok to start but after trying to dial it to it started to squeal fairly bad. This reel is not good for much I would not buy again and I dont see the reel holding up very long either only time will tell.

go back. The reel arrived with no lubrication whatsoever. After properly lubricating the reel and waiting an eternity for the ice to go out , I slapped it on my daiwa procyon and headed to the lake. I immediately noticed a terrible squealing noise which seemed to worsen with each cast. I also noticed a fairly aggressive catch / grind every time I turned the handle. Sorry 13 fishing, but it's back to daiwa & abu for me.
