Overview

Crafted for the toughest finesse bites on the most pressured waters, the 6th Sense The Abstract Creature Bait features a unique design that sets it apart from other more typical urchin-style baits on the market. At its core, the Abstract Creature Bait sports a chunky barrel-shaped body that gives the bait added mass and allows for easy rigging with a variety of single or treble hooks. Meanwhile, the numerous arms each feature a wide, flat design with special tabs on the end that promote a subtle yet constant quivering, shaking movement that looks alive at all times.

Made of buoyant, stretchy, and seriously durable TPE material, the Abstract holds a hook extremely well and withstands the punishment of catching bass after bass. The Abstract is highly productive when fished from shallow to deep with several applications, including neko rigs, free rigs, jigheads, and drop shots. Providing a distinct profile and action that can't be ignored, the 6th Sense The Abstract Creature Bait can produce heavy limits during the toughest conditions.

In typical 6th sense fashion, QC is horrible!Just like when I bought some of their new strobe shaker minnows, the front scrounger lip was bent on all but 1 bait in the pack & I bought 3 or 4 packs. Same with this thing, appendages are bent/kinked and looks horrible. Not to mention the bait itself is just a bad design. Wayyyy to many appendages and they fight w/ each other when it's falling and quivering because their sooo close together versus a standard coike 17mm/full cast. Even the prickly pair has better action. If they'd actually get some quality control or inspect baits before they get boxed up/ready to ship, they could be real contenders in the bait/lure world.. their paint jobs on their hard baits are usually top notch, and the colors ok their soft baits are great too.. but when it comes to actually getting a bait that's in acceptable condition and will do what it's supposed to do, that's a shot in the dark. Stick with hideup if you're lucky enough to hang snagged them on their random drops here lately with other stores, or got some before the urchin boom last year. If not, the Uni is incredible for its size, action is phenomenal & sits perfect on a 1/0 Ryugi Pierce Double frog hook or a 2/0-3/0 rpz talisman or standard talisman w/ a nail weight, the prickly pair 19mm & coike 17mm sits perfect on a 2/0 owner JDM frog hook. I've also been playing around with these Live shrimp hooks I use when I go to the FL house & fish offshore. Has keepers mid shank so the urchin is lockeddddd in and the hook has enough gap to get plenty of fish meat when setting the hook. P.S. stop using quad hooks on urchins! They banned them in our tourny series this year due to the amount of tongue hooked fish and fish that don't make it to the scales. Plus the frog hook is just better all around!

MeltedThis ain't it. Left on front deck of boat and melted all into the carpet. Not ideal!! Seems rushed to market.

New rigging methodI am the same person that wrote the last review and I came here to share a new rigging method. I found that this bait is great on the back of a jig. I was fishing it on a hybrid jig and got fish to bite and I will say they were some toads. The smallest one I caught was a 5.2 and the biggest being my new pb an 8.4. This to my knowledge is something I came up with and is a little different than anything else I have seen and I hope that helps.

18mm abstractThis is probably my favorite urchin style bait I have tried I have tried several like the Berkeley amoeba and the Coike but there is just something different about this one and it just gets fish to bite I gave my friend the Berkeley Amoeba and I fished behind him and caught 4 more than him just something about this bait that just gets bit.

Medusa!Tried a few brands but this has been my favorite so far. The keg shape seems to allow more rigging options but it also creates this awesome roll effect when you have weight on one side. I’ve only used the 18mm and my most success has come with a 2/0 neko hook on a MH MF rod and a 3/16oz free weight. Any less weight than that and it’ll be hard to keep down. I also inserted a rattle in one of the chamber pockets. Now I’m back for more colors!

Not worth itThis is garbage. Everyone I got was bent to the point where you could not use it. Typical 6th sense quality. Don't recommend
