Comments: Awesome budget reel , I haven't had the best experience with Abu Garcia spinning reels but this reel has me impressed I've used it for about a year. Decent casting distance and performs extremely well. Highly recommend.

Comments: Read a review on this reel recently and was very impressed with the quality to price statements in the review. Thought it would be worth a try. Have to say I was very impressed with the Max STX. Worth every penny and then some.Throws well and handle fish very well. I've been a revo guy for quite a while.... STX,SX,S, Winch. This reel will not disappoint. An absolute winner at this price point.....$69.00

Comments: I picked up two of these reels locally. So far they are super smooth on the retrieve compared to the old trusty black max series. They are a little smaller and super easy to palm which I like for finnesse fishing. The drag so far seems to slip more smoothly than the black max as well at any setting. As in harder startup and faster slowdown and more consistent in between. Very quality product for the money! Worth the extra $ over a black max if finnesse fishing!
