6'10 Medium Light FastThis review is on Bertrand's Dropshot rod:
First and foremost, holy smokes! What a lightweight rod. It's a thin diameter blank that still holds true to power and control. Its great for thin wire hooks such as size 1 dropshot hooks and zman ned heads. It's got a soft tip that transitions quickly into a solid backbone and once you got a fish hooked on it's taper is forgiving and makes it difficult for the fish to throw out the hook.
Sensitivity is great for the $200 price point and the reel seat allows you for more blank contact. Reel seat is also ergonomic and soft to the touch, overall a very comfy reel seat.
The only thing that's not exciting about the rod are the guides. They're nothing special and are a little flexible but they get the job done. They do allow for considerable casting distance however.
Overall, a solid rod at the $200 price point. Aesthetics are there and a very capable rod for both dropshot and ned rig. Warranty isn't great though, 1 year with a replacement fee but it's better than nothing.
