Comments: I am an avid Abu Garcia user and use solely Abu products. This reel was a real disappointment. Like several other people have mentioned, the reel locks up quite often. I remediated such experiences by fixing the washers on the spool, but the reel locked up a few casts after that. You can also rip line off the locked spool and you are ok for a few casts. I highly recommend the zata series. I have 2 and have had no problems.

Comments: Great reels. I've phased out my other spinning reels and currently run 4 of these. 3 30's and a 20. All on Dobyns rods and I couldn't be happier. Light oiling at the start of the season and they never failed to handle a fish. Crazy light weight for such a quality reel.

Comments: Use this reel for finesse plactics and Shakey heads never had an issue wanted to test it all around so I put in on a carp rod it handled a 20 pound carp with Eze also put it on an ice rod and it handled good size pike and never had an issue with it freezing only after I dunked it in the water but it was the air temp that froze not the water itself awesome reel for the money will buy more 

Comments: Outstanding reel. Itâs insane that this reel is only $100. It could easily be $150. Casts very well, lightweight, and has a very smooth drag. Iâve been using mine for over 2 year and it still performs like itâs brand new. Take care of your gear and it will last.

Comments: Awesome reel. I have caught big bull red fish, and a fish that spooled me 2wice. Speckled trout, and 2 large mouth over 8lbs and. As well as multiple larges and acrobatic smalls. Not a single problem.

Comments: Solid reel for the money. Fished it pretty hard for the past year and a half and have had nothing but luck with it. Hauled in a 8lb 24' northern on it with no issues whatsoever. Caught tons of 1-3 lb bass without a single complaint. Not sure what other folks are talking about with durability concerns. Smooth casting. Excellent line management. Nice drag. Primarily use it for finesse presentations, Texas rigged plastics, and jerk baits. I'd definitely recommend for those looking for solid performance without breaking the bank.

Comments: Mine lasted a few months and many 1-2 lb fish until I hooked into a 4 lb smallie. The reel performed well drag was excellent but the next cast the handle seized up. I found there is slop/wiggle in the rotor and by turning the rotor by hand the handle turns properly util you stop reeling. I took the reel completely apart and lubed and tightened the nuts and screws. Seems fine now but I have little faith that this reel will survive another big fish even with 6lb line and a light drag setting.

Comments: Highly disappointed in this reel.  I read a handful of reviews before purchasing and saw comments that indicated the handle would periodically freeze or fail to turn.  I purchased the reel anyway because the reel generally had good reviews and I figured some people either got lemons or there was user error occurring.  I was wrong.  I have fished this reel 4-5 times and have maybe 300 casts on it and the handle freezes just as others had described.  I haven't abused the reel, dropped it water, treated it poorly or even used oil or lubricants.  This reel just stopped working like it did the first day out.

Comments: I bought the REVO X spinning reel in the size 30 and I love it. I can't comment on the durability factor since I have only used it 3 times but it seems to be holding up nicely. 6-pound test line is the perfect match for the size 30 as the spool is shallow ( which I love ). The spool says that it holds 175 yards of 8-pound line but it doesn't look like it would hold nearly that amount. I also have 2 Abu Garcia reels in the size 40. The size 40 has a much deeper spool and goes nicely with 10 or 12-pound line. So wouldn't it be nice if Abu Garcia made a size 35 in the future for 8-pound line. There is such a drastic jump in spool size between the 30 and the 40 that a mid-size in a 35 would be a good idea.

Comments: Bought this reel a while back and put it on a 6'10 Phenix Maxim. Probably my favorite setup at the moment. I've never had any problems with this reel; it's solid and durable. My only complaint would be the way it loses the smoothness of how it was right out of the box, and it sounds like the bearings are rubbing against sandpaper. Overall I'd say its a great reel for the price and I'd definitely recommend it.

Comments: I like this reel it feels smooth, is light weight, looks good, there is an in between size the 2000 which is rare. However I have four of these. Out the the back box the back reel acts up unless handle is screwed in just so. I don't even know why there is a back reel feature. I have never used it ever and they tend to back reel in storage resulting in tangles. Of the four of these I have purchased in last few months onenis all ready out for service as the back reel will not shut off. I also recently purchased shimano Sahara and there is no back reel button on these. I went with more of these revolving for the look and feel.
