Comments: The Hula Popper was one of the first lures I ever owned. I bought two on the advice of my grandpa. He took one and showed me how to use a pocketknife to shave down the lower lip so the lure would skitter over the top of the water. I now own hundreds of lures, and it's one of two poppers that work consistently and the best for big bass. Just remember to fish it slow! The short, compact size results in few missed strikes, but it's easy for big bass to throw. I'd suggest adding split rings to the hook hangers and some trebles like KVD Triple Grips that make throwing the hook a little harder. If you have too many issues with the hooks tangling, consider using one larger hook.

Comments: Does this thing even need a review? Easy to work, perfect sound that draws fish even in open water, easy hook ups, this thing just plain works. once in a while you get one that the skirt wants to come off on but a little glue fixes that.

Comments: Excellent big bass bait to be used around heavy cover, especially vegetation. This is NOT a walk the dog chugger. It is to be use dead slow popping it in place with long pauses between pauses. If you want to cover water, this is not your bait, but if you have faith in the productivity a specific area & believe there is a big fish there, give this bait a try. Just be patient.
