Overview
The Ardent Smart Cull Smart Clips offer anglers a fast and effective way to cull, while reducing the harm and stress on fish in the process. The Smart Clips no-puncture design securely snaps onto the lower jaw of fish without putting any holes in their mouths that can lead to infections or permanent damage.
The Smart Clips are built with a small hole on the bottom, which allows anglers to attach Smart Clips to any puncture-style culling system the already own. Help improve fish care and protect our resources with the Arden Smart Cull Smart Clips.

Comments: I DO NOT recommend these clips... I have fished 25 tournaments so far this year and use cull tags on every fish that goes in the box to make sure I keep count of my 5 (went over 1 time before and learned the hard way). Haven't had a fish die on me all year using lots of Ice and G-Juice through the summer months. Anyway, I finally made the change over from puncture tags 2 tournaments ago, and i'm convinced these were killing my fish. Had one die 2 weeks ago, and this weekend had 2 rolling sideways with their mouths basically pinned to the bottom of the livewell. Took the clips off and used my puncture tags, and 20 mins later they all looked great. I think it's just too much weight in the fishes mouth. Considering other options..

Comments: Best clip design that I've used by far except for the plain steel roll pins they use for the hinge pins. After just one season they started to rust and this makes the clips sticky and really affects their performance. I couldn't justify spending $30 to replace them so I knocked out all the pins on mine and replaced them with 318 Stainless from McMaster-Carr and now they will last forever. Kinda stinks that they used a stainless spring and then plain steel for all the hinge points. Designed obsolescence is what we called that back in my school days.

Comments: By far the best culling clips on the market, I've been using them now for 2yrs no problems with any fish even a 6.6 largemouth

Comments: Very disappointed in these clips. They seem to do ok on smaller largemouth bass, but have come off on every fish over 2LBS. Tried them for 3 consecutive bass tournaments, won't be using them again.

Comments: These are a great non-piercing option for cull tags. If you make sure they are attached properly to the bottom lip, they won't come off in the live well. I've used them on big and small LMBs and Spots and haven't had an issue. So far so good. Can't comment on durability just yet, but they've held up over the past two months of heavy tournament use. I like em.I would recommend these.

Comments: I have had 2 of completely break. Ardent replaced them. they dont stay on smaller largermouth at all. Not happy with them at all. Have to try something else soon.

Comments: Have been using them for six months now with no problems. Attached one to my scales and it works fine. The fish stay attached to the clips even when they are going crazy while weighing them. My experience with another brand of clips that were all plastic construction that they may brake in extreme cold weather. The ardent clips are constructed with a stainless steel spring along with an extra heavy plastic frame work.

Comments: Not pleased. All six are freezing up after one use. Will be returning.
