Overview
Designed by one of the most dominant crankbait anglers of all time and former BASS angler of the year, Timmy Horton, the Azuma Timmy Horton Z Boss 10 Crankbaits deliver cutting edge performance that outperforms the rest of the crankbaits in your tackle box. Built with a hydrodynamic profile and shaped like a sports car, the Z Boss 10 offers reduced drag and provides a quicker decent that allows anglers to cover water with great efficiency. The unique shape of these crankbaits produces a tighter wobbling action to trigger bites from lure shy fish that have grown wary to loud, hard thumping crankbaits.
Fitted with an advanced weight transfer system, the Azuma Timmy Horton Z Boss 10 Crankbaits deliver extended casting distance that ensures maximum time spent in the strike zone. Available in a selection of Timmy’s favorite color patterns, the Azuma Timmy Horton Z Boss 10 Crankbaits come armed with a pair of razor-sharp treble hooks attached by premium split rings to deliver increased hook-up and landing ratios.

Comments: Just picked up the 22,24 and 25. The weight transfer is something that will get your attention when you cast. As mentioned in a previous review, once you get down, you can slow/ stop and the bait runs horizontally. Because of this feature, I found that I have to retie more frequently. That being said, they get down as advertised and catch fish. I throw 6xd, 8xd, dd22 and hot lips but see a spot in my deep crank rotation for these.

Comments: These Crankbaits are elite. I have gotten rid of all of my strike king deep divers and replaced them with these. where I live deep cranking is just about the only way to catch fish in the summer so you could only imagine how excited I was to find a Crankbaits that docent feel like its going to pull your arm off and yet still dives to the right depth. I highly recomend giving them a shot. I found these about 3 months ago a local tackle store and later bought some more from TW I love these things. the paint might start to peel after several fish but I look at it this way I'm already going to spend the money on them so why not just spend like 3 bucks more and get the good ones. I have also put tons of fish in the boat with these.

Comments: Maybe my experiences are different than all the other review, but I purchased the 6, 10 and 20 to try. The 6 lacked buoyancy. It actually sank very slowly right out of the box. It was almost like a suspending jerkbait. I liked the tight action of the crank though. The 10 casted like a helicopter every time. It was annoying. It had buoyancy unlike the 6 and it floated at the surface prior to retrieval-the way you would expect a crankbait to behave. If I didn't let the bait settle at the surface, it would flutter on top like it was foul hooked. It happened a lot. Again, i liked the tight action of the crank when it did dive. The 20 helicoptered too, but less so than the 10. It was the best of the three. My thought is the designing was diligent on the bigger versions and not much effort was put into the smaller versions of this crankbait.

Comments: These are the best deep diving crankbaits known to man. I stopped using my strike king deep divers and switched to the rapala dt series. Occasionally I still had issues with the pull, and with them running true. I've tried the 6th sense deep diving lures as well, and I liked them, but these are on a different level. You can reel them down to the bottom, stop for a split second and slow reel them, causing them to level out right by the bottom and stay there. The weight changing in them is amazing. They also don't feel like they are going to rip the rod from your hand while cranking like the strike kings do. The wobble and shake is muchbtighter, and much more finesse. Use these on guntersville and kentucky lake along the ledges and catch whole schools of monster bass. I have put every other ultra deep crankbait in storage for these. They only need to make a medium and shallow/squarebill version now. The best medium crankbait I've ever used is the Bill Lewis MR-6, which you might notice has a very similar body shape to these. I switched to the MR-6 a while ago, and now I've switched to these for my deeper needs. The best thing about them is they are reasonably priced. People swear by $30 megabass crankbaits and $15 6th sense crankbaits, and I think the action and performance of these is far better. One downside, the paint/outer coat will start peeling after a while. But, The action and performance of this bait is second to none. I caught an 11lb ledge fish in kentucky lake out of a school of giants. With the action of this bait you can still feel the bottom and feel fish, unlike the strike kings which you can only feel the constant tugging of the lure, and maybe a little weight that feels like a snag when super deep thats actually fish. The smaller size of this lure makes it harder for the fish to throw also.

Comments: Bought 3 Z Boss 24s and I absolutely love them! Great quality and weight transfer system allows them to cast a mile which you want. Caught 7 today cranking ledges and most were 3-4.5 lbs. Outstanding crankbait - Im a fan . I just ordered some 20s and 10s.

Comments: I just started trying these cranks and have yet to hook into a bass (just started using). However, i foul hooked a five foot long, long-nosed gar in the top of the head with one hook. The fight lasted 10 minutes or so and after we got the fish off, my buddy told my he thinks he bent the hook trying to get it out of the gar. I looked at it and it was still in perfect condition. If that isnt a testament to quality hooks straight out of the box then i dont know what is. Good action and run true.

Comments: After throwing the Z-Boss 20 & 25, I'm putting my XD 8's and 10's in storage. The Azumas dive faster and don't feel like they're trying to burrow into the earth like Strike Kings. I can throw them all day without having my hands cramp up. Most importantly, they put fish in the boat.

Comments: Really like these! Only problem I have is after catching about 7 fish the clear coat layer has been peeling off. I don't know if this is a defect or a common occurrence.

Comments: I absolutely hated Crankbait fishing, honest truth had never caught a bass on a Crankbait until i tried for the zboss 10. I have sense became a believer my 2 PB's out of a lake and out of a river have both came from a zboss 10, Tennessee River and Moon Beam are my favorites, i believe its something to do with the Red Gill Plates.

Comments: best crankbait for the price. i prefer the 10 size because i don't really like deep cranking but that's just personal preference. moon beam and blue moon are my favorite for summer time.

Comments: Hands down one of the best crankbaits on the market, especially the Z Boss 20. Cast well, dives quick, and DIGGGSSS!! Very little pull back/resistance when cranking back in. Give one a try!
