My Favorite Ned HeadThis is my favorite Ned head. I’ve used them for several seasons now and buy a lot of them. Could the weed guard be tougher? Yes. But, the hook up ratio is good, the hook is the right balance of strength and thin for penetration, and I catch a whole lot of bass on these. Hooks are sharp and are easily sharpened if needed. I’ve landed 5-7 lb bass with these heads and keep the fish pinned. I fish primarily the 1/10 ounce 2/0 in my home lake (shallow) and have found no need for anything other than a Z-Man TRD in green pumpkin, which mates up to this head well. The keeper is alright, but I do use a tiny dot of super glue to keep the bait up against the head. The weed guards have a tendency to unravel, but I usually just twist them back with my fingers and roll on. Having the tungsten enhances the feel of the bottom for me. These are good heads.

Comments: I really wanted to like these. I think overall the tungsten and hook quality are superior to Z-Man but unfortunately the weedless barbs fall out after a short amount of usage. I hope that BassTEK can figure out how to address the major deficiency. If you do please let me know if I can exchange the various sizes I have already bought ;-)
