Topic 1: What Really Happens During the Spawn? - Many of us assume that bass move in lockstep during the spring, flooding the shallows in a couple of massive waves and then leaving as a group. There are certainly key times, but during much of the spawning season there are bass in all phases of the process. John Murray has learned that sometimes it pays to target fish that are outside of the dominant activity in order to have them all to himself, and he can explain how to take advantage of this as a viable tournament strategy.

Topic 2: Seasonal Deep Water Approaches - Except during the heart of the spawn, on most bodies of water there always exists a population of bass the remains deep. The reason they're there, and the lures they'll react to, varies greatly depending on the time of year, and John Murray has developed a "rule book" that enables him to find and capitalize upon offshore bass that others miss.
