Great Chopping ActionDecided to try this out to see what all the hype was about and man is this bait worth it, I have caught multiple fish over 4 pounds on this in the span of roughly a month. Like many say it does not glide well at all, however it is amazing to fish against cover. It chops effortlessly with reel twitches and draws in fish of all sizes. Another thing to mention is the hookup ratio. When I started fishing this bait I was missing fish left and right, I figured out that you almost have to treat it like setting a hook with a frog and wait a second or two before setting the hook. I would opt to fish the 8 inch version as the 6 inch does not chop as well or cast as well.
Best glide for the priceThe nessie i struggled with cause i'd miss bites with the single treble hook. This bait solves that. Caught some decent pike and bass on it. I run the 6 inch and its more than enough for fish here in CT. I walk the dog with it like I would topwater baits. Cuts in the water nice. Usually gets slammed on the pause. I have $50 glides and this thing performs just as well arguably better in certain situations because of its soft material. My other hard glides once a fish feels its fake they dont commit. The softness lets the fish chomp on it. Only problem ive found with this bait is it gets tangled easy (mostly my fault by using straight braid) and it doesnt have much action if you just straight retrieve it which is where I think people hate on it, other than that I think its worth the price. Its quite durable too after handling pike and pickerel.
Tie loop knot. Use mono mainlineI use mono mainline it gives way better action than braid. I have all 3 versions. They all chop and wide glide just fine, but the 6” requires lighter line and more practice to get it to work right. 8” is my favorite and the one i recommend, it also has a subtle wiggle on the fall. Ive had the best success in winter over sandbars and around isolated cover. Best day caught 20 largemouth from 2-3lbs and 7 over 4lbs on the 8” in sexy shad just kayak fishing with no electronics.

Amazing ActionI have the 8 inch version of this and it is a great bait for throwing against cover and chopping. It is super easy to chop and takes little to no effort to do so. I have caught fish that range from 1-5 pounds on this bait and it is truly a fun bait to fish as most of the time you see the fish engulf the bait. The biggest downside of this bait like many said is the hook up ratio. I have noticed that when the fish want it and really eat it the hook up ratio is fine, however if they are just pecking at it and not totally crushing it the hook up ratio plummets and it is rare that you hook up. Overall it is definitely a bait worth trying and truly has a unique action like no other.
Learn How to Fish!This bait is phenomenal! Very few baits are perfect out of the package. Loosen the front treble holder with pliers, use braid to mono leader and the hook-ups are better than most!
Hookup ratioThis baits action is insane. It’s honestly incredible, but the harness makes the hook up ratio awful. I had over 20 strikes on it and only hooked 2.
LEARN HOW TO TIE LOOP KNOTSWith plastic glide baits they have a split ring on the nose of the bait where you put the hook like a crank bait. This one doesn't have one, so you have to tie a loop knot to get the glide bait chop your looking for... If you want good action on a straight retrieve your looking in the wrong place bud.
Horrible actionThe action of the 6 inch bait is terrible. Does not look natural chopping it or on a straight retrieve. I think the rear hook hiders the action.
Lack of Action (6 inch)As excited to receive 3 of the white 6 inch chop blocks, tying one on and trying to get a nice glide action out of it, it always seemed to hug left and never really have a nice chopping action. I thought it was a bad batch so I tested the other two and it was the same thing. Dunno if maybe I'm doing something wrong but I wouldn't think so because using a glide bait shouldn't be difficult. Could be because it's a smaller version but overall I couldn't get pretty much any good action out of this bait.
