Overview

Born from Bassmaster Classic Champion, Hank Cherry’s vast knowledge, combined with Berkley’s design expertise, the Berkley Stunna Jerkbait 112 has all the refinements for a jerkbait to excel in a variety of conditions. It starts with a convincing baitfish-imitating profile that is expertly accentuated with a range of detailed paint schemes to help anglers more readily ‘match the hatch.’ The exceptional looks continue with 3D gill rakers, 3D eyes, and raised scale patterns that are sure to fool even the most discerning bass.

Constructed to maximize its dancing action, the Berkley Stunna Jerkbait 112 excels when jerked, twitched, or worked with a sweep-and-pause cadence. It achieves the ultimate darting action, with easy 180-degree head turns and side flash when fished aggressively. Slow things down and anglers will be delighted with a natural slow sink on the pause to entice even the most lethargic fish into lashing out at your bait. A dual brass weight pairs with a single tungsten weight transfer system ensures impressively long casting performance. Armed with sticky-sharp medium shank EWG Fusion19 treble hooks to complete this bass-thumb inducing package, the Berkley Stunna Jerkbait 112 was built with action, casting distance, and durability at the forefront of the design process.

Treat Them GentlyI've caught a bunch of fish on the Stealth Shad Stunna, but 2 of them started taking on water at the seams. I have had some luck fixing them with epoxy, but I shouldn't need to repair a $15 lure.

Great action, not sensitive to tackle settingI'm thoroughly impressed with the lure's side-to-side motion and body roll, which effectively radiates flashes into the surroundings. Although labeled as "slow sinking," the lure's running depth can be conveniently adjusted using the rod angle, all while maintaining its premium action. While its castability might not live up to the hype, it remains satisfactory. The Vision 110 is sensitive to tackle settings, yet it performs admirably across a broad spectrum of tackle variations.

hooksThe hooks this bait comes with are absolutely horrible. I had to strip one bait because it broke two hooks on fish and one hook got mangled from a one other fish if you have one or more of these baits change the hooks.

Comments: Love this bait, I'm really not sure how the more expensive baits could actually catch more bass. Between the Berkley Stunna and the Shadow Rap shad have produced some of my most rememberable bass fishing experiences. I did happen to break two bills off but I did hit a few rocks throughout the day. Overall I love the Stunna and will continue to buy more...Go Berkley.

Comments: New to the whole jerkbait scene, so I couldn't tell you whether it stacks up to the pricier options. What I can tell you, is that Stunna Shad color has been absolutely dominating for me this spring. Currently buying more, figured I stopped and leave a review. If you're on the fence, get down off it and buy some Stunna's. Hank knows what he is talking about!

Comments: I've tried and used a bunch of jerkbaits... Megabass, 6th Sense, all different types of rapalas, Strike King KVD. This Berkley Stunna is the deal. I still believe the megabass is the best cold water jerkbait. the stunna is a close second in cold water tho and is the best in all other water temps. This thing just performs right out of the box. The hardware isn't bad either, those fusion hooks are surprisingly good.

Comments: First time using one! Had one of my buddies Stunnas tied up on a rod. New that I wanted to try a different approach this time out ( Lake Michigan 12/11 ). The fish WOULD NOT react to any other bait besides a stunna. Tried the usual tube, ned  blade  A-Rig, Swimbait (small and big) Water temp was 39*. Ended up putting 25lbs of smallmouth for my best 5, with a 6+. This bait is magical

From: Andrew : Mishawaka, IN 12/12/22

Comments: No hyperbole here, but this bait flat out catches them. Just spent a day at my favorite smallmouth lake and absolutely wrecked them on this bait. It was all I fished all day long. Over 20 fish, five over 5lbs, countless fish over 4lbs and a TON of fun. The fish were literally freight training this bait. They would come back with the bait sideways in their mouth. And the hooks? No need to change anything. The stock hooks are sharp and stout, keeping hard charging back flipping smallies pinned all the way back to the boat. I highly recommend this bait if you are looking to add a new option to your jerkbait arsenal. A very quality lure at a very reasonable price.

Comments: My new favorite jerkbait. I've been using megabass 110, EG FA jerkbait, EG side step, Smith Rogue, Nishine Erie, Strike King KVD jerkbait, etc., and now I love this the most regarding the action. Beautiful and sharp side-to-side action with strong jerking. Castability is ...ok. Not great, but at least better than Smith Rogue. Casting against the wind is a little hard. This bait is slow-sinking but it's really slow. So I'm using this even in shallow area like ~4ft depth. The above experience is based on my tackle of Shimano Expride 22 6'10 Medium Grass Composite Rod, 30lb Braided + 30lb Mono line.

Comments: I bought a 112 and 112+1 together in the same color (Silva Dolla) based on the early hype. I started throwing the 112+1 in late fall 2021 and was not impressed at all. Actually gave it away to a High School angler. Based on the poor experience with the +1 the 112 sat in my box unused for months. A striper stole my Vision 110 recently in Deadly Black Shad and the closest I had in my box was the Silva Dolla 112 so it got used. Man......I was majorly impressed at the action and castability of the standard 112 and continued to catch fish like crazy. While the Megabass Vision 110 is and has been the gold standard for being the best jerkbaits out of the box, the Stunna 112 may be my new favorite; and at $10 savings compared to the Vision 110. Berkley hooks are great too. I typically like round bends on plugs, but left stock on them until they dulled. They keep fish stuck! I will replace them with the same and even use them on other jerk plugs where I can. While some have complained about its castability of it, I have had little to no issue. Are there others that cast a tad better....yep. I throw my jerkbaits on either a Megabass Jerkbait Special (6'11") or Expride 6'10" Medium coupled with either an SLX 70 or Curado 70 and 10# Tatsu. The 112 works well in the 6' range and being slo w sinking, depending on your cadence will get down to 8' (Livescope verified). With either rod/reel combo, I can cast this over 100' with an overhand cast. Does well into the wind when slung closer to the water sidearm too. I have not had any casting issues that I've seen others speak of; no helicoptering. Does it cast like a 110 or Rerange....no (nothing can cast like a Rerange), but it certainly ain't no slouch. I like Silva Dolla as an all around color when it's bright and/or sunny out. Northern Lights gets tied on when I get short strikes and Stone Cold is my cloudy color of choice followed by Northern Lights if the water is good and clear like on the lakes I fish: Keowee, Hartwell, Russell, Clarks Hill and Lanier (GA & SC). If I could only pick one, it would be Northern Lights; the spotted bass love that chartreuse, but on sunny days I've seen the flash of the Silva Dolla pull fish from over 100' away with a quickness (Livescope Verified). With all that said, I did give the 112+1 another shot. Still not impressed with action or additional depth achieved. Will stick with the Megabass 110+1's and 110 Jr. +1's or the Lucky Craft Staysee 90 if I need to get beyond 10'. But.....the Stunna 112 is a major winner in my book!

Comments: I bought some of these stunnas in the standard and +1 at Spring Classic Sale. I am a Megabass and Rerange fan so I bought these to possibly use in the cold water month for the slow sink that comes stock on these. Well I fished a +1 right next to my cousin who was fishing a vision 110+1 in similar colors and we both were smashing the fish the other day. It performed as well as the vision that particular day. I caught spots, smallmouth, largemouth and striped bass all in one day on this bait at Lake Cumberland. I am now a fan and will continue using them.

From: Josh: Kentucky 4/3/22

Comments: Very effective jerkbait. They absolutely produce. Hooks are very sharp and not too flexible. Casting is good; not the best, not the worst. Very slow sink on 12 lb line in low-mid 50's water. Like every other premium jerkbait, they are brittle. Check for water intrusion if you score so much as a glancing blow on a hard surface while casting. Great lure overall.

From: Scott: Arkansas 3/7/22

Comments: Used in 54-57 degree water on the CA Delta. They floated slowly but that could have been the current causing that. Colors are good but like the review below they are missing some key colors. For me it would be pro blue and a solid and a ghosty bluegill color. The action is good on these. They come to a stop and rock side to side before settling. The slashing was good. Not as good as lets say a Duo however. Although I do consider the Duo's to be a different kind of jerkbait than just your standard run of the mill go to. Certainly better than the Spro jerkbaits. Hooks are very sharp. Casting was so so. I noticed I could not cast these well which is supposed to be a design feature of these. Some say they tumble and yes they will however if you commit to the cast they won't. You have to be focused though. They tend to catch air and accuracy is very poor with these compared to a Duo or Rerange that go exactly where you want them. They will not cast far despite the weight transfer system. Some fixed weight jerkbaits like a pointer 100 or duo 100 will cast further and with better accuracy. The weight transfer system is just not heavy enough to really sling these out there. All that being said I will buy more

From: Unknown: 3/1/22

Comments: A good jerk for the money. The colors fall short though. Needing a pro blue and a firetiger along with some better translucents. The action is Berkleys best yet.

From: Unknown: 2/8/22

Comments: Gave one of these a try. I like a lot of things about it and it catches. That said if I lose it I won't replace it. The weight transfer in these leaves a lot to be desired. Probably fine on spinning gear, on my Aldebaran and SLX70's that can cast jerkbaits a mile, this one starts to helicopter about 3/4 of the way out. Good but not great enough for me to keep using. A little heavier weight transfer ball and these would be money.

From: Jon: PA 12/20/21

Comments: This is a good jerkbait that produces fish but it has a bad habit of helicoptering on cast and catches your line on back or middle hook, more then I would've expected.

From: Unknown: 12/13/21

Comments: This bait produces fish! Today was my first time using the Stunna, not only that, it was my first time throwing a hard jerkbait. Caught a fish on the very first cast and caught several more throughout the day. I will be buying more of these.

From: Josh: 12/4/21

Comments: This is an awesome fall jerk bait. Stunna shad is a dynamite color. Caught multiple bass first time out and even ended up with 7 large crappies. Crappies couldn't even get it in their mouth but didn't stop them from getting hooked. Love the way it slowly sinks for fall fishing.

From: David: Martinsville, IL 12/3/21

Comments: This is a nice bait and it catches fish! On par with my pointers and time will tell how it will run with a 110. Fit and finish is quite a bit better than I expected a Berkley bait to have. It's caught enough that I will be buying more.

From: Mark: Virginia 11/19/21

Comments: Just caught a 4lber and a few 1lbers with this in a local pond within a few casts before I ran out of time. They look great, even better action. Tennessee shad is the way to go

From: Chris: Unknown 11/4/21

Comments: The Stunna fills a massive hole in the jerkbait market. This is the perfect slow sinking warm water jerkbait in my opinion. It has outperformed the 110 and the rerange for me during the warmer parts of the year and I'm sure there is a place for it in the fall, too. Cherry knew what he was doing when designing this and it comes with fantastic hardware right out the box. Black Gold is good for dirty water, Stone Cold for all around use, and Blaze is one of the few red jerkbaits on the market right now and will do some damage come next prespawn.
