Overview

The product of countless hours of research and development, the Booyah Melee Vibrating Jig’s innovative and functionally flawless design sets it apart from all other vibrating jigs on the market. Fitted with an extra thin blade for increased vibration, the Booyah Melee Vibrating Jig features a polycarbonate head with a lead core, which creates an enticing blend of vibration and unique sound.

Unlike traditional vibrating jigs, the Booyah Melee Vibrating Jig stays down in the water column with minimal rise, and is able to move through wood, cover, and grass with outstanding efficiency. Backed by a long shank hook and fitted with a convenient wire keeper, the Booyah Melee Vibrating Jig breaks the mold of traditional vibrating jigs, giving anglers an edge on big fish and the competition.

Comments: I have one of these and while I've only fished it a couple of times, I've read countless reviews and I'll just save u some time. If ur fishing hard cover such as wood or rocks, these are great. If ur trying to fish grass, don't bother. It'll get stuck in the blade and the vibration will just die.

From: Unknown 2/23/21

Comments: Works great in wooded/hard cover. As with all baits you have to know when and where to use it. Doesn't work well in grass but works better than other chatter baits in hard cover.

From: Unknown: 1/22/21

Comments: The problem I have with these is after a days worth of fishing the blade actually cuts into the resin head. Had 2 of them come back to me with only the blade, a 3rd actually broke with a fish on it as I watched it come apart. I even contacted the bait company about this. they told me to send them back. I did and have not heard any thing back.

From: Mark: Tiskilwa, IL 1/3/21

Comments: Saw some mixed reviews but hopefully this will be the nail In the coffin, don't buy this, save your money or go buy two Zman chatterbaits, they're not worth anything unless you're fishing cypress, likes to roll, barely any vibration unless you use a worm as a trailer.

From: Unknown: Tennessee 1/2/21

Comments: Not recommended. Swimbait trailers kinda kills the action to near neutral. Not what you want in a " vibrating " jig. Looks good and that's about it.

From: Ty Beasley: Rockford, IL 10/7/20

Comments: These are specifically designed for hard cover. This vibrating jig is in a league of its own. This isnt for grass so do your research on a bait before you buy it and see what applications those baits are designed for. Myself personally fishes hard cover hard structure I Am always trying to throw a bait against a certain type of hard cover for reaction strikes and thats where this bait really shines

From: Aaron: Fresno, CA 5/15/20

Comments: I got 2 of these to try out, but never got around to using them earlier this year. But I tried one out this winter and have to say they are no where near as bad as everyone makes them. Yes they dont run as well in grass, but there are a lot of other times I am throwing one out of the grass. In any place without grass, these things are great. I have caught a few on it and used it enough to say its pretty good. It starts up quick, runs good, and has good vibration. So if you love throwing chatterbaits and use them in places without grass, definitely pick one up. The quality is good and the skirt is nice.

From: Charlie: Indiana 2/7/20

Comments: As horrible as everyone makes them out to be, these are actually awesome in specific situations. I wont write a novel on these bad boys, but I will say they work. They are definitely not ideal in grass but through sparse Lilly pads and brush and above grass (burning it) they are killer. They are bulky but light - for ratio of size - so they naturally run shallow. I typically don't run them deeper then in a foot. I cover some serious water with this and in pressured areas where everyone uses the "typical" bladed jig these tend to actually out perform.

From: Unknown: 1/13/20

Comments: horrible, save some money and get you one of the other vibrating jigs. Does not vibrate and gets stuck in the weeds.

From: Jo: Michigan 12/3/19

Comments: What a useless piece of crap! The smallest piece of grass will cause the blade to stop working. Freedom/Z-man is the way to go!

From: Steve: Ontario 7/29/19

Comments: This bladed jig does great unless you are in grass. I always fish these in grass and the design of the head catches everything. I always have a bladed jig tied on and laying on my front deck. I have never had more trouble keeping one clean as I have this Melee.  I do not have room in my boat for baits I can not keep clean.

From: Thomas: Tyler,  Tx  5/7/19

Comments: I am going to keep this short and sweet.  DO NOT buy this if you are fishing grass.  The grass gets caught in the head design groove and clogs the blade. In open water its fine but around any grass that thing gets clogged up.  A chatter bait is supposed to be fished around grass right?  Well not this one.  Save yalls money and thank me later

From: Knox: Cincinnati, OH 4/30/19

Comments: Poor attempt. If you are around wood it may work , but I tried it on Guntersville and it is completely worthless. It hangs up in the weeds and will not start vibrating when you rip it out. Maybe if you are not looking for something to fish around weeds this may work, but I don't like the vibration and how hard it is to get started.

From: Unknown 4/11/19

Comments: Found a couple at local shop and picked up black/blue and a green pumpkin. They work good if in clean water. Actually hooked up on first cast with one. Easy to set the hook, just turn and reel a little faster. My advice don't let it get into the grass. If a single blade gets between the blade and the head it stops working. But starts vibrating with the first turn of the reel. Will keep some in my box from now on. Something a little different.

From: Joe: Science hill 1/25/19

Comments: This is another poor attempt at a supposed "improved" vibrating jig. The bait does not rise as advertised, but this makes it impossible to fish this bait through shallow grass because the bait digs into and pinches grass strands between the head and blade because of the way the blade is attached. It comes through wood very nicely, but since the blade cannot move up and back fully 180 degrees, the blade acts as a stiff, metal guard, therefore the hook up ratio is poor. Vibration is dimmed down as mentioned previously.

From: Unknown 10/16/18

Comments: Nice little vibrating jig. The way the blade connects to the head is unique. Does well at staying down in the water column instead of slowly rising like most vibrating jigs. Doesn't put off a hard thump but more soft than most, this can be a really good thing for the winter months with the more subtle thump. Blade has weight of lure stamped on it. All around good lure i would recommend. Pretty weedless as well, comes thru wood better than most as well as being good in grass.
