One of the hottest new baits coming from Japan, the Deps Cover Scat Stick Bait is poured with a bulky body and an ultra-high specific gravity material that boasts 40% salt content. Despite its relatively small size, the Cover Scat is heavy stick bait packed with tons of salt. Designed to be fished without any extra weight, this stick bait features a fast horizontal fall and uses body stabilization fins at the sides to encourage the proper posture. The bulbous back end has a dimple molded exterior that gives the bait the same texture and vibration as a crawfish underwater.
A molded hook guard cup and belly hook slot allows for easy rigging and improves your hook-up rate with less plastic to shift down the hook shank, while the bulb on the top of the bait serves as a hook point guard to keep the presentation completely weedless. With no additional appendages, the Deps Cover Scat Stick Bait gets in and out of cover with ease and is ideal for fishing around heavy cover and vertical structure like overhanging trees, dams, dock pilings, and bushes along the shoreline.
Great BaitI have only two left of the golden shiner, but I have caught quite a few bass with this bait. I snagged my first bass of 2025 today (3-13-2025) using the Deps Cover Scat. I'll be buying more soon.

Perfect PooSuch an amazing bait. It’s a piece of poop that can be fished multiple ways. Let it sink like a stick bait, pop it like a jig, twitch it like a Jerkbait, work it over top of cover like a top water. I’ve caught fish in every single technique mentioned. They cast amazingly well and it’s so easy to skip that even someone who can’t skip like me can actually skip it. Durability is whatever, it catches fish! Pumpkin Cheesecake is my go to.

Comments: These baits are the real deal. They stay sold out for a reason as they flat catch fish. I've caught fish in several different colors. Fish this bait weightless as I've caught fish in all sizes however I prefer the 3.5 inch. The best hook I've found for these baits is the Ryugi Infini extreme offset. Use the 6/0 for 4 inch, the 5/0 for 3.5 inch and the 2/0 for the 2.5 inch. Let the Scat sink to the bottom give your rod two light twitches and let it sit. I've caught fish shallow and deep. Pay attention to your line as they will inhale on the fall if you feel that wet sock feeling set the hook. Bass will suck it in and just hold it. Give the Scat a try you won't regret buying this crazy bait.

Comments: Believe in the scat. Great all around bait for flipping docks to deep offshore. My go to is the 4". I even add a nail weight and these badboys when bombcasting or to get to the bottom fast. Usually use 20lb daiwa flouro hidden concept.

Comments: This is such a stupid bait and I love it. Why does this work? But boy does it ever work. I've been using the 3.5" Blue Maron (Melon) color in a bluegill forage dominated lake. I rig it on a 5/0 EWG and that's the perfect size to hit the bump for hiding the hook tip. Durability is only decent but it's a heavily salted plastic so that's to be expected. Yesterday I got three 2-3lbers on one and then a 5, two 3s and a couple of dinks on the next. So it's not Zman durable but it works. I have this in all sizes and so far the 3.5" is my preference. I was throwing this on pretty heavy gear and it still casts a mile. I have been pinching barb down on the hook I use. The fish really commit to eating this and the barb just makes it harder to unhook them. They aren't coming off with head shakes either way.

Comments: There is nothing that falls like the scat. Truly something fish haven't seen before. Even fishing deep, always go weightless. Wait 25-30 sec for bottom contact in 20 FOW, and lift up to that mushy feeling. Pair with Infini Ryugi hook for superior hookups.

Comments: I have been slaying pond bass with 3.5 green pumpkin scats all year. Able to catch several 1 pounders on a single bait. Highly recommended!
