Overview

Remember when you got that $15 crankbait stuck in a stump in 14 feet of water and there was nothing to do but shake, pull, and hope? Help is here with the Dotline Telescopic Lure Retriever. At 58 inches, his lure retriever stows easily in a rod locker, then extends up to 17'8" to free lures. The swiveling wire corkscrew at the business end of the aluminum pole makes short work of snags, while the rubberized handle ensures a sure grip on the retriever.

Falls apartthe polls do not lock in easily, and they will come apart. I have purchased two now in the ends come off that retrieves the lure, and they are useless. Cannot find any replacement ends.

Mediocre But...It is mediocre. It will save you hundreds or thousands. However, it won't last long. It will bend, It will become nearly impossible to unscrew to extend or retract. If they changed to higher quality materials then it would be amazing.

Comments: I bought this one because it was a little cheaper with shipping. The peices were poorly glued, so it didn't last long. The glue failed, and I lost most of the retriever as well as my crankbait.

Comments: I bought one of these because of the price point and the length of it so after a short time of using it one of the twist lock has either broken inside or something is missing because now I cannot lock the first small leg it it has worked good until this... the only other issue is the twist locks .. they have become extremely difficult to twist loose or twist tight when extending the pole although it has paid for it self already in retrieving lure these issues have rendered the useless at the moment... and I feel these issues should not have happened as new as it is ...I'm in the process of contacting the manufacturer to see if they can resolve these issues I will follow up after talking with the manufacturer .

Comments: The lure retriever works well. I feel that 3 small chains at the end of pole would do a better job of catching lures than corkscrew wire. But the ext length is why this is a must have on the boat. Tip, tape a pool noodle around it to prevent it from ending up on lake bottom. Which is why I'm here today buying another 1, I retrieved a lure & accidentally kicked it overboard & it sunk like a rock.

Comments: The good: EXTREMELY useful lure retriever. Has saved me more money than I can count. It's a must have if you fish crankbaits a lot. The bad: 2 known issues. Corkscrew end is screwed into the pole, and over time it WILL come loose. Rectify this issue with red loctite and it will never come unscrewed. Second issue, the individual plastic compression fittings that allow you to extend the length are held on by some type of heavy duty adhesive that over time will fail. Fix this with JB marine weld and you'll have a lure retriever that'll last! Even with the 2 issues mentioned above, I still absolutely love the lure retriever. Would not get on the boat to fish without it.

Comments: I've had one for 5 yrs now...it's paid for itself over and over again...I even retrieved a hi dollar rod and reel with it that was dragged over by a fish hitting a bait laying in the water...got the fish as well...

Comments: I HAVE USED MINE FOR 4 YEARS! I HAVE A HOMEMADE LUREHOUND, BUT THIS POLE WORKS!  USE IT ALMOST EVERYDAY!  SAVED ME LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF $$$$ IN CRANKBAITS.

Comments: Eat your Wheaties and bring someone to hold your pole while you use it. Junk !!!  Get a Lure Hound.

Comments:The swiveling wire corkscrew rusted and broke off after 3 months of use.

From:Varm: NYC, NY

Comments:Lure retriever is heavy duty, even at full length. It works great and has paid for itself by retrieving 4 crankbaits. Also works great retrieving wacky worms and jigs. Get one today and save your rod tips and wallets.
