Overview

When considering producing a lipless crankbait Boyd didn’t feel the need to go any further than the timeless shape and action of the Bill Lewis Rattle Trap. The Duckett Baits Trap Lipless Crankbait was designed in partnership with Bass Master Classic Champion Boyd Duckett and Bill Lewis Rattle Trap to create a new and completely unique sound. Utilizing a signature acoustic developed in the lower frequency range, this crankbait calls fish in from long distances by triggering their lateral lines to produce hyper-aggressive reaction strikes.

Featuring larger more realistic 3D eyes, naturalized gill plates, and slick flat sides, the DB Trap generates maximum flash and attraction as it vibrates through the water column. Equipped with premium components throughout, these crankbaits are ready for action with tournament-grade split rings and razor-sharp Kitana treble hooks. Finished in a variety of fish-catching colors, the Duckett Baits Trap Lipless Crankbaits have you covered for any situation you encounter on the water.

Comments: I am a big fan of lipless crankbaits. Much to my surprise I saw that Duckett and Bill Lewis collaborated on a bait that had different acoustics which peaked my interest. I decided to pick up a couple and boy was I glad I did. I live in central Florida, which is known for its grass. They had it choked. This is a great bait and should be in everyone's tackle box.

Comments: Last Wednesday we had a cold front come through here in Florida. It barely got over 60 for the day and the wind was steady between 10-15. I decided to give this trap a try and let me tell you, I don't know if it was from the unique sound that it gave off, but they were choking it. I will continue to use this bait for the rest of the year. Thanks, Boyd.
