No Hook KeeperWas kind of baffled it doesn't have a place for the hook. Didn't think to look that close in the pictures. They should call that out in the description if they're too cheap to put one on there.

Powerful rodThis rod seems to be very powerful yet I’m able to throw Texas rigged trick worm with a 1/8 weight very far. Even though it’s rated from 1/4-1oz it can still launch smaller baits because it has nice tip. Esthetically this rod is super nice looking with exposed carbon look that’s just awesome. Now for cons, it came with a slight bend to the right close to the tip. I guess I’m having bad luck with getting straight blanks. Already had to return one Fenwick elite bass rod due to misaligned guides and unglued reel seat. Decided to keep this one, crooked tip should give it character but it still bothers me at times.

Previous Feedback

Comments: Loved the feel of the 7'4 medium rod for casting capability and finesse fishing, however, I used it for 3 days when it snapped in half landing a fish from the bank. Disappointing is an understatement.

From: Sean: United States 9/4/23

Comments: Not meeting expectations and poor customer service from Diawa, who handles the warranty claims as a partner of Evergreen. Multiple areas around the reel seat and butt of rod have come unglued and are rattling loose. Had another rod model break at the bottom handle below reel seat and Daiwa offered to give me a discount on a new rod but not to replace anything. I expected a better product for the money and hoped for better customer service too.

Comments: I have the 7'4 medium, and I love the look and feel of the rod . It is intended for jigs and worms, and it has great sensitivity when I use senkos and ikas on 8lb line. However, I would not use this for a dropshot rod like in the comment before. It has some backbone to it, and you don't want a lot of power behind it when you hook into the fish since you don't want to rip the smaller hooks from  the fishes mouth. I hope evergreen makes something in the medium light range for that here in the US. Overall I am impressed with evergreen, and I have bought two other bait casting rods from them.

Comments: Disappointed in lack of feel when drop-shotting and shorter casts when using the same 3/8 oz cylinder weight with Rebarb #1 and Roboworm than I'm used to getting from my Phenix spinning rods.

From: W.Campbell: San Diego, CA, USA 10/7/17

Comments: 7'4 Medium is perfect for tossing a drop-shot & dragging it back to the boat. Sensitive & has a lot of power.  Only flaw is it has no hook keeper.
