Overview
Dreamed up by the team at Fishlab and award-winning lure designer Bill Siemantel off BBZ Baits, the Fishlab BBZ Bio Gizzard Shad is a powerful tool for targeting trophy bass and predatory fish keyed in on larger forage. Carefully crafted to mimic Gizzard Shads and Golden Shiners, the BBZ Bio Gizzard Shad features a durable, four-segment body that terminates in a hybrid tail and delivers exceptional action on straight and pause-and-jerk retrieves.
If the lifelike action isn’t enough to bring fish charging in, the Fishlab BBZ Bio Gizzard Shad also employs peerless good looks that will surely get mandibles snapping. The BBZ Bio Gizzard Shad is enhanced with nose-to-tail 3D detailing including molded gill rakers, pectoral and dorsal fins, and scale patterning throughout. In addition to the anatomically accurate molding, the swimbait is encased in tournament-inspired colorways that help to match most common forage. Completed with razor-sharp BKK treble hooks that aid in optimizing hook-up ratios, the Fishlab BBZ Bio Gizzard Shad is built to chase those scale-busting bass.

Comments: I don't think you're going to find a better bait out there for the money! The swimming action is better than a lot of custom baits that cost hundreds of dollars. It comes stock with BKK hooks but they're way too big. I downsize mine significantly. My only complaints are the colors are limited, hooks are WAY too big and the sink is way too slow! The first BBZ 4" shad also had this issue years ago and I was hoping it would be corrected. Or at least offer these in different sink rates like medium and fast. Overall though I'm very happy with this purchase and will be buying more. Hopefully, they offer a bigger 8" version with different sink rates in the future.

Comments: This bait gets hammered. You can burn it as fast as you can turn the handle and it will not blow out. Fishes slow with awesome action. This bait is a winner and swims better than baits at twice the cost.
