Overview
Featuring a classic surface waking action at any retrieval speed, the Fishlab Bio Shad Wake Bait can be crawled slowly along the surface all the way up to a fast burn without blowouts. This hard-bodied, single-jointed, subsurface topwater is great for drawing aggressive strikes, and its double pinned connection keeps it running true and strengthens the overall integrity of the bait.
Equipped with two sticky sharp tournament grade trebles and a pre-rigged nose split ring, the Bio Shad Wakebait comes with reliable hooks straight out of the packaging so they ready to catch that next trophy bass. Finished with lifelike 3D eyes, molded gill plates, and realistic pectoral and dorsal fins, the Fishlab Bio Shad Wakebait is available in a range of baitfish-inspired and sizes that are bound to drive bass and stripers wild.

Comments: Finally an affordable, bigger, better version of the SK wake shad that I liked so much way back in the day! This thing is perfect in every way. The printed patterns are super lifelike and really durable. The hooks are premium right out of the box but a little too big so I downsize one size. The wake action and knock is spot on too. If you burn it, you can get it a couple inches under the surface which sometimes will make all the difference. I don't see why anyone would pay hundreds for other custom wake baits that won't stay on top or fall apart easily when these are available dirt cheap! I will definitely be buying more.

Comments: First time using this today , went with the 6" in the Golden Shiner color. Very impressive wake , can be worked slow & fast with a nice knocking sound. Easy bait to cast and it found a couple of willing takers the first time using it with the biggest being 4-1/2 lbs on this outing. Time will tell on a durability etc but I'm very impressed so far.

Comments: Bought the 4". Love the bait, but - I'm changing the front hook to red. The fish rolling on it bug time. Just not eating it. CA delta, nothing it grass. High tide, over the tops, open water. It just flat works. Walk the dog, burn it, I've even popped it for fish. Now if I can just get them to eat the thing.

Comments: I've been waiting for this bait for over a decade! Strike Kings Wake Shad was an awesome lure, but the quality was not good. I had always hoped that they'd do a larger 6" size, but beefed up. It never happened. Now Fishlab has just come out with the Bio Shad, which is largely a copy of the Wake Shad design, but in two different sizes, and built considerably better. No more plastic joint that blows apart on a backlash cast! The joint on the 6"er is metal, and can stand up to the punishment that a musky (what I use them for) can dish out. It wakes at any speed, fast or slow. It comes with stout hooks and split rings straight from the box, so no need to change them out. I have found it to be especially effective for fishing in the dark for the local tiger muskies. I have no doubts that it will be a great bait for big largemouth bass, stripers, and many saltwater species as well. I have not tried, or seen, the smaller size, so I can't comment on those. The 6"er though, it's a winner!
