Overview
Offering a new element of thought-driven design to the world of hollow bodied frogs, the Fish Lab Rattle Toads has a very unique feature not found in other competitors offerings. This hollow bodied frog has an oversized rattle chamber secured to the front of the hook which helps keep the Fish Lab Rattle Toad lying flat on the surface, and also makes it easier for bass to track the bait over thick mats.
With the Rattle Toad's ability to lay flat on the surface, open water walking is also easily achieved. It allows you to now “walk the slack in your line” rather than the bait, so you can keep it in the strike zone as long as possible. Its double hook was also designed to sit higher up the side of the body, which means the Fish Lab Rattle Toad has to compress less than standard frogs to expose the hook points. Available in three sizes and four fish catching colors, the Fish Lab Rattle Toad is a must have in your frog box.

Comments: Love and hate relationship with this frog lure. Nice design and simple colors, nothing complicated. Rattle tube innovation is somewhat of a con. Rattles are not loud enough to make a difference to be honest. Plus it does not allow this frog's body to compress all the way hindering its catch rate ability. Easy to walk and crawls over mats just fine. Also the rattle tube will break after a couple solid blowups.

Comments: I purchased the Rattle Toads in the 3.5" size out on a whim but I've come to really love this lure. It walks extremely well and have not had an issues with my hook up ratio. Even though the frog is soft, I have continually caught pike with no issues of tearing so far. The rattling is quite subtle so personally I like to throw in two additional Gene Larew 7mm Glass rattles. The two extra rattles does not impede the floating or walking of the lure. It does take in a little more water than I'd like but that's likely due to me opening the body cavity to stuff additional glass beads.

Comments: Poorly thought out design. Rattle chamber prevents full compression and causes missed strikes. Can hardly hear the rattle anyway. I won't bother to throw it again.

Comments: This thing is awesome, love fish lab and their products. This walks super well lays flat for fishing heavy matted grass or slop and the rattles a nice touch. A few things to note is trim the legs they are a little long, and the eyes on the frog chip off after a few fish but not a big deal awesome bait, I use a medium heavy 7 ft perfect for it, great frog nothing rlly bad to say about it
