Overview
Constructed with a free-swinging, articulating mushroom head attached to a 1/0 wide gap hook, the Flatlands Tackle Swinging Weedless Ned Head adds the erratic wobbling action of a swing jig to your Ned rigs. Flatlands Tackle has created an innovative Ned head that maximizes the action of your favorite Ned-style soft plastics by affording a greater range of motion from the pivoting head. A perfect option when faced with rocky or snag-ridden cover, the Swinging Ned Head offers the deflective qualities of crankbait while the wide gap hook allows for weedless rigging. Designed to scrape along the bottom on a slow and steady retrieve, the chip-resistant powder coating provides enhanced durability. The Flatlands Tackle Swinging Weedless Ned Heads were built for the true finesse angler and provide a great alternative to the Carolina-rig when fishing in current.

Comments: I have used one of these ned heads with a nikko super ned worm to catch over 50 fish on a single worm and hook. I love these with a buoyant plastic because they never stop wiggling on the bottom. I also use these to texas rig my roboworms, back can't resist them bouncing over rockbeds. Buy them you won't be disappointed.

Comments: Love throwing mini creature-style baits on this! Much more versatile than a standard ned head and the superb quality makes this a staple in my finesse arsenal.

Comments: I was very excited to add this product to my Ned arsenal until the first fish was hooked, a 2-3 pounder from what I saw of it. The hook snapped at the shank during the fight. 8# test copolymer was on the reel and the drag was set correctly. Very disappointing.

Comments: About time somebody brought swinging hooks to Ned rigs! I'll never use a standard Ned head again, they can't even compete with these things! Free swinging hooks have a few benefits: 1. They have more action, especially for a slow bottom hopping bait like Ned rigs, a buoyant bait will stand straight up over the jighead & slowly sway in the current, SUPER DEADLY! 2. The fish can't use the weight of the jighead as leverage to throw the hook, so once you stick em they stay stuck! 3. As another guy stated the jighead will never make your bait fall over & lay on bottom regardless of the angle it lands or what it lands on, a buoyant bait will stand up straight every time. The 1/0 ewg is the perfect size for most Ned Rig baits. I owe an absolutely epic day of smallmouth fishing on Lake Michigan to these hooks & the Savage Gear Ned Salamanders!

Comments: These are some of the best Ned heads I have ever used. I'm not sure why other brands aren't doing this with the free swinging head but it helps for multiple reasons: If using a buoyant plastic, the plastic will always stick up in the water. I have noticed with some of my regular Ned heads, it sometimes fall and lays down vs sticking right up. If you're dragging the ned, this allows the body/plastic to move freely (in my opinion, more attractive). The weedless hook is a bonus as well! I have yet to miss a fish on it and they stay pinned all the way back to the boat. 5/5 for this Ned head.
