Comments: I own 3 GLX ( 1 , 2 piece, 1 6'6 glx and 1 6'6 bronzeback glx.) All spinning rods. I just acquired my 7ft glx to fish the thick of things with my Stella I love these rods. My reels are 2 Shimano Ci4 ( 2000 and 3000 with an additional vanford 3000 and 2 Stella 2500) I fish bass mostly. Freshwater..the balance is dope, no doubt about it. My friends are jealous. My competition wants what I have and the fish can't escape. So smooth. So elegant. So treacherous. I won't fish any other brand. Loomis and Shimano= balance and happiness

Comments: Owning a GLX spinning rod will change the way you fish...in a good way. It's light, good looking, and you will feel everything. I don't even use florocarbon line with mine most of the time. I don't need to! Straight old school mono. The few times I have used floro...wow. Worth every penny.

Comments: I picked up the 6' 6" for river fishing smallmouth here in central Minnesota, tossed a 2500 Stella FJ on it with 14lb Berkeley fireline tied to an 8lb tatsu leader. I throw mostly ned rigs, drop shots and smaller jerkbaits in it and the combo performs beautifully. I always turned a blindish eye to loomis rods for some reason, always been fixated on Steez and Destroyer sticks. But this GLX with the Stella on it is absolutely money. Not the lightest combo ever, but the balance is incredible. I personally believe balance on a combo is much more important than pure lack of weight. I caught some big river smallies, walleye, and red horse suckers and the butter drag of the Stella and the nice combo of a semi-soft tip with a solid backbone played every fish like a fiddle. Every fish hooked was landed. I have an NRX+ and if I would've bought a GLX first, I probably wouldn't have got the NRX+. For $200 more, I dont think the NRX+ is a massive upgrade, the rods fish so similar IMO. Sensitivity is top notch, could feel everything. The reel seat is great, I like to choke up on my grip. Usually have the foot of the reel in between my pinky and ring finger, or my entire hand is above the reel. The only thing I wish was different is that the rod had recoil guides, I personally like the way they fish and the fact of how durable they are, I'm not easy on my gear all the time. 10/10 I suggest to grab a GLX. I'm curious if we'll see a GLX+ in the future, time can only tell.

Comments: Love the 6'8" Medium X-Fast for dropshotting Smallies up here in Northern Wisconsin ~ Super light and balanced with the perfect tip to let the bait do its thing without over-working it... Plenty of blank left to get the hook in and handle them boatside. Thanks Loomis ~

Comments: I currently have two GLX, one spinning and one casting. I've fished the NRX quite a bit and the only difference between the two rods is the weight. There's no denying how light the NRX is, and it's probably the best rod on the market right now, even over the conquest, but the GLX is right behind it. The 6'10 Mag-Med is incredibly sensitive and still light to the point that you'll not want to put it down all day. Overall I give the GLX series a 9.5 out of 10. Also, these rods are impressively durable, ask the 14 sheeps head I caught on Erie in a matter of a few hours, with the biggest weighing just over 15 pounds.

Comments: I would like to say hands down my favorite spinning rods for walleye $$$ I've been a guide for 25 years on big water Canadian Shield lakes north Minnesota our walleyes will ruin sub par equipment fast cold water lakes grow heavy strong eyes I use a GLX 6'6 medium for dragging a semi vertical owner glow snell hook with just a medium peice of split shot with 4 to 6' live shiners or same size rainbow minnows in 30 feet of water out on large reefs 1000 stradic ci4 15 pound power pro with 12 pound leader and this thing easily and gracefully puts the hurt on 25 to 30 inch walleye no problem so smooth and you feel the second that minnow touches a tooth the 6'6 medium 6'8 medium are both awesome tools to have I pair mine up with stradic ci4 1000 or 3000 for my 7' jigging glx's most awesome walleye combos out their I'm not knocking anybody that buys a NRX because I own a few of them as well awesome rods but when I fish them side by side I would pick my GLX over an NRX hands down the handle on the GLX way nicer reel seat and all and light light light if you hold both rods side by side no reel same taper length etc. the difference is no existent period... you get a little more from the NRX but not enough in my opinion to justify spending the extra 150 I have the opportunity to fish a lot of equipment but when I spend my money I need my investment to return when I put these rods in peoples hands for the day awesome rods made in the USA by people that seriously care about your outcome on the lake great job everybody at loomis keep it up.
