Overview
The brainchild of Bass Pro Tour angler Brent Ehrler, the Gamakatsu G-Finesse Stinger Weedless Wacky Hook utilizes a number of key features that excel with finesse techniques, especially around cover. Fitted with a titanium weedguard that allows it to move through brush and timber with increased efficiency, the Gamakatsu G-Finesse Stinger Weedless Wacky Hook enables anglers to fish a wacky-rig and a neko-rig in areas that are inaccessible to exposed hooks.
Giving anglers an edge over the competition, the Gamakatsu G-Finesse Stinger Weedless Wacky Hook is made using a Nano Smoothcoat finish that accelerates hook penetration. Constructed using tournament-grade wire for increased strength, the Gamakatsu G-Finesse Stinger Weedless Wacky Hooks deliver an improved efficiency around snaggy terrain and big fish.

Comments: These are my favorite Neko hook, great hook-up ratio. I haven't had any issues with the weed guard breaking as others have stated, even after 10+ fish on one hook. I even routinely push them back out of the way while hooking the bait and still no issues.

Comments: I am a big Gamakatsu fan, and this is the first time a Gammy hook that I've been let down. I'm having the same issues as the other fisherman. The weed guards are snapping off at the base. A wacky rigging and a Neko rig can slay the fish here in Florida all year long, but being weedless in is a must in our jungles. Usually after a pair of bass, the weed guards are gone. It become an issue because these aren't cheap. Please Gamakatsu, review the design and fix this! Until then, I'll have to find a better alternative.

Comments: I bought these during the 2020 Classic sale and used them today, 4/7, for the first time. After a few fish the weed guards snapped off at the base. Look at the other reviews, they are reporting the same problem. I recommend buying the regular Stinger hook and tying your own weedguards on out of wire or fluorocarbon. A 25 pack of stinger hooks is less expensive than this 4 pack. Gamakatsu needs to fix this faulty product. Disappointed.

Comments: I've been using these hooks for the past year and I will say that since I started using them my hookup ratio has gone way up, I'm also not losing near as many. But this is just due to the longer shank which allows the worm to slide out of the way as opposed to some of the more common short shank hooks. Unfortunately, the weed guards break very easily. 2 fish or a couple hang ups and they snap right off. They work, but don't last anytime. So be prepared to have plenty on hand if you are going to be using these.

Comments: I have been using the G-Finesse Wacky hook for the past month and have caught a number of good size bass on the hook. The positives are the hook seems to pin the fish in the roof of the mouth and I have yet to loose a fish once hooked. The wire guard works well in the Ca Delta where there are a lot of weeds...better than any other wire guard hooks I've used in the past. Negative, the wire guards breaks clean off the hook at the epoxy keeper after a couple of fish catches. My used hook bottle is filled with G-Finesse hooks with the wire guards broken off. You also need to be careful with that wire guard as it will impale your fingers in a nanosecond. If you don't mind replacing your hooks often, they do what they are supposed to do...catch fish, not weeds.
