Overview
Designed for weedless rigging oversized swimbaits, the Gamakatsu Spring Lock Monster Hook is perfect for those times when the conditions call for big bites and its time to go big or go home. Featuring a heavy wire hook that can stand up to aggressive casts and viciously hard hooks sets, the Gamakatsu Spring Lock Monster Hook provides hook size needed for rigging large baits while still providing plenty of gap for great hook penetration.
The Gamakatsu Spring Lock Monster Hook is also equipped with a “center point” screw that ensures perfectly straight and weedless rigging every time. Available in a selection of sizes to accommodate the biggest swimbaits, the Gamakatsu Spring Lock Monster Hook await trophy-caliber catches.

Comments: Simply a flawed design. Gamakatsu makes some of the sharpest hooks in the business, but for some reason they haven't got the swimbait hook shape right. The screwlock needs to be further away from the shank of the hook or the baits can't even fit. Just as someone else said, the bait has to sit on one side or the other because the shank is pressing against the underside of the nose. Please, take inspiration from Owner or even Trokar(worst hooks ever but the shape was right) and make a larger gap so we can use our thick-nosed swimbaits on your hooks. I love that lighter weights are available for larger size hooks. This is great for pond or shallow water folks. Just get the shape right and I won't buy any other hook. For now, I have to use Owner.

Comments: I couldn't get this hook to fit any big softbaits well. The only one I could find that the 9/0 hook could fit well is a 5" Rising Son.

Comments: I tried this hook because I have some swimbaits that the gap on the owner beast hook is just a little too wide. The angle of this hook just doesn't work with any swimbait I tried it on and I tried a bunch. The angle of the shank between the eye and the weight hits the swimbait causing it to sit to one side. This hook might work for something but I tried it on a ton of baits and it just doesn't sit right.
