Comments: Good, strong hook. I am using it now in the winter and it is handling 4-5 pounders with ease and holds the bait nice and tight with the screw lock. Perfect for ned rigging in the winter. The weed guard also prevents snags with the little grass left in the winter but also loose sticks/wood in the water.

Comments: I fish open hooks whenever possible. Hook-up ratio is a bit better than with weed guards. But, there are times when you need a weedless presentation. These work great with larger plastics and the weed guard and keeper have not disappointed. I also use these with small swimbaits.
