Designed with the input of famed Lake Biwa fishing guide, Yuho Ito, the Geecrack Bellows Gill Creature Bait is an exciting new soft plastic bait concept that mimics the unique swimming action and broad profile of a bluegill. Molded with a ribbing from head to tail to give the bait a natural feel once the fish bites, the Geecrack Bellows Gill Creature Bait displaces a tremendous amount of water for its size and creates a lifelike swimming action that is sure to fool the smartest bass. It is also made from Geecrack’s original S.A.F.(Salt+Aminos+Flavor) material, which causes fish to hold on longer once they bite so you have more time to set the hook.
During development Yuho Ito’s favorite way to fish the Geecrack Bellows Gill Creature Bait was rigged weightless on an EWG hook, but it is also a versatile bait that can be used on Texas-rigs, Carolina-rigs, Jika rigs, heavy duty drop shots, and as a jig trailer. Offered in natural color patters, the Geecrack Bellows Gill Creature Bait is a revolutionary soft plastic bait that will give you an edge against the fish and the competition.
Need better quality controlTired of having to send these back. Geecrack needs to check these. I've gotten multiple defected.

Bellows Gill is a secret weaponI was curious trying to find some flipping baits around my home lake (stained 1-2 max visibility ) timber filled ..the free rig with cylinder shot and 4/5 OT on the 3.8 inch has got me a few over 3.5 here in ky to one almost 5 lb largemouth flippin in less the month n half . Very impressed on the quality ratio ..looks like a dying bluegill /baitfish ..works following others ..it’s different on a cylinder style weight It truly has a dying action and shimmy that resembles a dying bluegill !!

Expensive But Doesn’t Last WellI bought several packages of what I feel are the better colors for the bass I chase. I really like the action they have in the water. Both the Bellows Gill and the Bellows Shad tear easily. You flip them into cover a half dozen times and it has to be changed for a new one. This fish do like them but they don’t hold up well. They do work that’s why I gave it 3 stars, but I’m giving the rating the benefit of the doubt.

Confidence BaitThis is my new go to confidence bait for flipping around texas rigs. All though soft it straight up catch's fish and thats what matters to me. I like to use a wacky rig tool and slide a o-ring on the front of the bait that way the eye of the EWG hook doesn't seem to tear the bait up as much and send it flying off the hook. Flipping the 3.8'' on a 3/8 tungsten weight or drop shotting the 2'' or the 2.8'' hammers them!
I love the profile and fall of the bait.

Best plastic I've ever used, hands downI've been fishing these for about 3 years now, and I can honestly say that I've never been bitten on any plastic like I have on these. They thump the F out of them and just don't let go.
The best rig for me is using a bobber stop, tungsten weight, 8mm red glass bead, most of the time a changeable skirt; I use VMC ringed EWG hooks with these, and run straight braid. There are times that I won't use the skirt, and times that I fish it completely weightless - but I get bit the most with the skirt. The bead makes a huge difference - they hate that clicking.
And don't be afraid to throw the 5.8" - my PB (7.2) was on the green pumpkin/chartreuse. I suggest a #5 or 6 hook with those.

Great action, but way too delicateThese catch fish, however, bluegill like to bite the tails clean off. I went through 5 packs of these in one weekend during a tournament. At $10/bag, not worth it. I'll wait for the new elastic model they should be releasing this year.

Incredible free rig lureThis is one of the most unique and phenomenal lures ever created. There are tons of knock offs on these, but I recommend the original over those thanks to the SAF material. It outfishes other attractants by a mile. The lure may not be super durable, but I promise you, the soft material is needed to get the right action. Knock offs made with a more durable (harder) plastic doesn't move nearly as well. There is a difference in detail, and on some days that will matter. When a lure is developed from scratch, you get that extra attention to detail. Most things I've tried from Geecrack has rubbed me the right way. The S.A.F material has convinced me tenfold.

GarbageThese baits are the most disappointingly brittle prices of crap I’ve ever used. Will they get but? Yeah, a 10” fish rips it clean in half with one peck. Didn’t even set the hook, the dinky little fish but it clean in half. Need to increase durability 10 fold. Also, I skipped these under docks at lake of the ozarks for 8 hours without a keeper bite. Absolutely disappointing Japanese garbage. Package comes soaked in oil, the baits are often jammed up and bent in the package. Better off buying senkos, they are reliable durable and get the same bite.

Comments: Saw these all over my social media and thought I'd give them a try. These baits are the truth. LMB slams these like nothing else, something about them just makes fish tick. I use the 3.8 texas rigged with a 5/0 EWG and the 5.8 weightless with a 6/0 beast hook. Any heavy jig/t-rig setup you have should throw those sizes perfectly. A bit expensive but they are a lot of fun and just flat out work.
From: Ian: Indiana 9/18/23
Comments: I've tried multiple copy/knockoff bait of Bellows Gill, but man there is something about the SAF material that gets bit more than any of them! This bait has become my favorite bait! 5.8" is a big bass killer!!
From: Ben: Arlington, TX 8/24/23
Comments: These things may look strange, and they smell like Corn Pops cereal, but when set up on a free rig and a Hayabusa 4/0 ewg hook they really do catch em. It is a totally unique presentation that most fish, and most anglers, just have not seen before. I do wish they were a bit more durable, and less pricey, but now I have an entire box set just for this bait and rig.
From: Doug: NJ 7/23/22
Comments: Better than Deps bull gill or OSP dolive gill for durability. I put these things back in the pack after used 1 or 2 times. The durability is exceptional, so it's not nearly the rip off of similar, yet different Deps and OSP products. Put a size in between the 2.8 and 3.8. You sell the fire out of them anyways, so another size shouldn't hurt your fiscal/money grubbing objectives.
From: Dan: Illinois 7/8/22
Comments: These are amazing, gives the fish something they've never seen and they flat out get bit. But they are expensive, and it's hard to ignore.
From: Carl: Washington 6/24/22
Comments: Great lure especially when fish are pressured or the bite has slowed down. A totally different profile than the fish have seen and will get bit when nothing else does. But I use them sparingly - they are very fragile and at $2 per plastic its amazing how fast you can go through them. Spendy ~

Comments: Believe the hype with these baits. They're soft and only last a couple fish at best, but they straight up work. They have a small tail kick and the profile of the bait is something bass haven't seen before. I use the 2.8" and 3.8" on texas rigs and either slowly swim them through grass or drag them around with quick hops.
From: Shane: Rochester, NY 12/8/21
Comments: Great bait for river walleye that feed on shad like on the Mississippi in the Red Wing pool 4 area. I rig them lying flat on a jig to imitate a dying shad. The eyes and sauger love them. I recommend trying the electric shad and smokey shad colors. I have also found they work well pitching them in smaller rivers for eyes as well. I have found the 2.8" to be perfect and they hold up for several fish, no issues with durability with this size in these colors.

Comments: A great alternative plastic to throw when nothing else is working. Excellent as a Texas rig, fish usually haven't seen it before. But at $10 for five 3.8 inchers, they are one of the most expensive plastics per bite. I use them sparingly.

Comments: I got this bait, and I was not too confident in it. I started throwing it weightless in a couple local ponds/ lakes, and it is awesome. They are not the most durable especially for the price, but the action pays for itself. The 3.8 have a pretty big profile, especially since I mostly use them to finesse fish. I think they excel any where you would throw a wacky rig or other finesse baits. I like to glide it in and over weed beds. I try to mimic a dying bait fish by twitching the rod tip 3-4 times ,and letting it fall back down again. One thing to note is that you will have to set the hook hard on it. Overall this is some thing I would recommend and I look forward to buying and using more of these.

Comments: I was really excited to use this bait, and it doesn't disappoint. I fish it either weightless or T-rigged; both ways produce copious amounts of bites. The plum color works perfectly for the lakes I fish in Western PA. With that being said, EVERYTHING bites this bait. I don't experience problems when it gets inhaled by a bass, but those pesky little panfish bites rip the 3.8 in half easily. I only bought one package to try, but over half these baits were destroyed by bluegill and perch terrorizing the bait during the presentation. I'll probably try them again, but not very impressed by its durability.

Comments: Up here in Canada, they work great! Texas rigged with the lightest weight possible - or - free rigged. Pros - Strong smell, kinda like Fritos lol - Excellent action and water displacement - Great size - original and unique. Cons - A bit delicate, especially the tail portion, sometimes only lasts For one fish. - Expensive. In the end, I will buy again in spite of the price, just too versatile and original..Great for pressured lakes as the fish have never seen something like this.

Comments: These baits are dope. They quickly replacing my senkos and ikas. They give fish something they likely haven't seen yet, the baits swim well and you don't need to add scent. Its already infused in the baits. You need to set the hook HARD on these to get through the plastic, also short biters will rip the bait in half or rip the tails off.

From: Unknown: Minnesota 6/20/20
Comments: It hasn't been out long so I don't have a lot of experience with it. That said it produced a very good day of fishing for me early last fall on a very weedy lake that is usually a tough one to fish. I fished the 5.8" size on an 8/0 unweighted Owner beast hook and I wrapped about 3/32 oz of golf tape around the shank so it wouldn't fall too fast. That day I was catching 1-3 lbers on Caffeine Shad twitching it along like you would any fluke style bait. When I started to fish the Bellows Gill the same way rigged as I described it produced mostly 3-4 lbers with a nice 5-1/2 lb kicker fish thrown in as I think the profile somewhat resembles a Bluegill. It definitely attracted the bigger fish that day as the combined weight of my best 5 would have been in the low 20's if I were fishing a tournament. Anyways the ice came off our lakes recently and as it warms up I'm looking for more opportunities to fish this lure and will definitely try different rigging options as I learn more about the bait, I have a feeling this will be a mainstay in my arsenal of soft plastics.
