Overview
Call fish to the surface and trigger heart-stopping strikes with the Googan Squad Hound Walking Bait. Fish it around schooling fish, across points, shallow flats, and any other areas where bass are ambushing baitfish, the Googan Squad Hound Walking Bait features a tapered tail design with a cupped mouth, which generates a tight walking action with a bit splash that calls fish in to feed. While at rest, it will also sit with its tail down, which gives the feathered treble hook a chance to produce a subtle secondary action that triggers wary fish to bite.
For an added level of attraction, the Googan Squad Hound Walking Bait features a loud internal one-knocker style rattle that produces a deep knocking sound to call fish from a greater distance than lures with traditional bb rattles. Available in a variety of Googan approved colors, the Googan Squad Hound Walking Bait is a proven performer that will become a staple in your topwater arsenal.

Comments: There are better walking baits and much better popping baits . A Storm rattling Chugbug does both better than this bait. Swing and a miss on this one

Comments: Good bait, just doesn't walk like it's supposed to. But I still caught fish on it

Comments: It's a Citica 200HG on steroids and more technology. Terminator (Citica) Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (SLX XT) I'm amazed at the price point and this reel is tougher than nails. It begs to be used as a Texas Rig, Jig, Small Swimbait reel. It's the muscle of the SLX family and versatile. I've fished it in lily pads, laydowns, and flooded timber and it never missed a beat. Give me this reel all day long for rolling up your sleeves and working for your catch!

Comments: One of my favorite baits. this lure is the whole reason I'm on this website. To walk it, you need a rod with a sensitive tip. walks fine and I've caught at least 50 bass on it in the last few months alone.

Comments: love the look of this thing but the action is not all that. It is pretty hard to walk the dog or pop this lure. The rattles also get stuck sometime and you have to jerk this lure very hard to get the rattles up again. Anyway, wasted my money on it and i shouldve bought a spook instead.

Comments: Idk what these guys are talking about because the Hound absolutely slays fish for me. I usually fish rivers and this thing calls in fish like no other. This is a go to lure for me.

Comments: I absolutely love the Googan squad and the Bandito bug along with some other baits of there are amazing. BUT sadly this is definitely not one of those. I couldn't get this bait to walk for the life of me and if you do it only would last for about 2 seconds until it would break rhythm. I've even seen Youtubers like SBfishing try it and you can tell they had trouble with it as well. Need to take this one back to the drawing board boys

Comments: Lure design is not that good. The lure has the looks of a walking bait but a mouth of a popper but doesnt do well in either way.

Comments: With the cup nose, tapered tail, and even the feathered treble this bait is harder to categorize. Admittedly, I bought it to "walk the dog" which I should have realized all of the above limit that action. I still have a place for this top-water in my tackle. It's a tight walking and minor popping bait. Think calmer water with a subtle presentation. Seems well built and it will have it's day.

Comments: I enjoy using several Googan baits however the hound is not one of them. Not the easiest to walk at all. Yes, I can get it to walk but with far more effort then I can some other brand options. My feeling is the tail tapers to thin and there just isnt enough a** to sachet back and forth. At least that is the impression I get when attempting to walk ole girl. I say it needs a re-design. I have seen similar complaints on this bait on other retailer pages as well.
