Built on a razor-sharp 1/0 Gamakatsu 604 hook, the Great Lakes Jig utilizes a round powder-coated head for chip-proof durability and an unpainted vertical line tie that allows for clean knots every time. The perfect amount of marabouThese have the perfect amount of fluff and the length is bang on. You can tell the GLF guys are super in the know about hair jigs. I love that these have a Gamakatsu 604 hook as well. Not sure what else you can ask for in a hair jig.
I don’t need to tie my own anymore!!!I had never found a good readily available hair jig I trusted until I found these. I won’t be tying my own anymore since I can get these. Hook, hair, and paint job are super solid.
Nailed it! Best hair jig on the market!Leave it to the smallmouth experts at GLF to make the perfect hair jig! I've tried them all and this one nailed the marabou! It has the most, it's super fluffy, and the perfect length. As good of a hair jig as some of the best custom fly tiers can make. Great gammy hook, rock hard paint that wont chip, and has a sweet keeper for my trailers.
Swing and a miss.While the jig looks good, it's lacking enough material to perform correctly underwater. Production jigs just can't match a custom tie.
Decent jig, seriously lacking on marabouJig is great, keeper is great, but they went stingy on the marabou big time. Feider fly and northland are much better, and cheaper.
Best Hair Jig on the marketNot only did GLF nail the marabou quality and quantity, but the hook is everything. Glad to see GLF not cheap out and use a stout Gamakatsu hook in this jig. All the other brands miss on the hook and the quality marabou. This is now my go to hair jig and I don't need to tie my own anymore.
