Would Recommend
Easy to find, easy to rigOK so I finally decided to get into this urchin thing. I bought a bunch of these since they are easy to find and affordable.I started experimenting with rigging. Here's what I did. 1) Took the hooks out of some old frogs. Took some tungsten nail weights and used heat shrink tubing to secure the weight to the shaft of the hook then pushed it through the bait. Let me tell you, that is not easy. This material is very stretchy. The little hole that runs through the bait is not big enough to slide a 3/0 or 2/0 frog hook through without some effort so be ready for that and be very careful. 2) Screw in nail tungsten nail weight with most of the weight in the head. G7 makes a good one. A regular lead nail weight can be too long and they are again hard to push in all the way. The screw in weights are better IMO. Anyway after that I put an Owner CPS in the front and inserted an Owner Cover HD 3/0 straight shank hook though the CPS. 3) And finally a BKK Hyperlatch tungsten jighead with 3/0 or 5/0 hook. That's it, it slid in the easiest! The hook on that jighead is amazing, big fish are not coming off. It is my favorite way to rig. Hope this helps.

Would Recommend
Solid Coike AlternativeBeen catching fish on this bait for about a month now. It catches fish and is super durable. While it is not the actual coike, it is at a cheaper price and so much easier to get. Been throwing them on a reneu tackle trigger hook in the 1/8oz 4/0 size. That’s been the best way to rig them to make sure you don’t lose them. Caught almost 20 fish on one of them and it still looks brand new. Get you a few. They work!

RiggingGreat bait. bomb proof durability. catches fish. Rigging tip...get a pack of Mustad Power Lock Plus Spring Keeper Weighted Hooks - 4/0, 1/8oz. slide the adjustable weight towards the back of the hook as far as it will go. Remove the spring keeper. jam the eye of the hook through the center of the bait where the wire was in the package. Bait will fall slowly hook point up and catch fish. repeat.

Spike emI jammed a good sized nail weight in this bait, put a hook in it, and cast it out. Still floated. Anyone have any 1/4oz nail weights, because that is what it seems like it will take to sink this thing. If your boat is going down, grab a couple of these, put them in your pockets, and you will be okay. I'm still giving it 5 stars though because the packaging is great, the bait seems tough, and the colors are good. I just need to figure out how to weight it, which is my problem, not Hags'.
