Overview

A finesse angler's dream crafted by Matt Allen and Tim Little of Tactical Bassin, the Hog Farmer Baits Tactical Bassin Micro Flex Rig 2 Blade is built for situations when bass are feeding on smaller baitfish or finesse is key. Built around a five-wire construction with two blades, two 3” teaser arms, and three hooked baits, the light-gauged wire thickness ensures lifelike pulsations and replicates a genuine school of shad with each twitch of the reel handle.

Premium ball bearing swivels and super bright willow blades enhance its allure, while center pin screw locks and 85lb black nickel Egg Roll Snaps for hooked baits provide top-notch hardware. The impact-resistant polymer head features an embedded swiveling line tie that reduces twists and ensures long-lasting durability. Simply add your favorite jig heads and swimbaits and let the Hog Farmer Baits Tactical Bassin Micro Flex Rig 2 Blade bring a whole new level of finesse to local bodies of water when the bass are keyed-in on small shad.

- Includes #2 Owner Hyper Wire split rings
- 5 Wire harness comprised of:
- 2 - 3” upper dummy arms
- 2 - 3-3/8” lower outside arms
- 1 - 4-1/4” center wire

**Don't forget to check your State's fish and game rules and regulations - a fully rigged umbrella rig is illegal in some States.

Great design, but treat the wire right!I absolutely love this bait, but I did have a few issues. My home lake is home to some monsters (lake record is over 19 lbs), but outside of trout season, the main forage is bluegill and tiny silversides. When the bass are primarily feeding on the silversides, this tiny forage and the INSANE pressure that the lake receives make this the absolute best a-rig for me. I can fish this on most of my general-use rods and cast it far more accurately than other rigs, which allows me to fish super close to cover, but I still feel that it has the necessary drawing power when I rig it with underspins. I can also fish it super shallow when needed, and it is the only A-rig I like fishing from shore. The only downside of this bait is the wire. While the finesse presentation, pulsing movement, etc of the thin wire is the greatest strength of this rig, it is also its greatest weakness. While I would trust this rig to hold some big bass and striper right out of the box, it becomes noticeably weakened as you repeatedly stow it away and take it back out. I used a little wacky O-ring to keep the arms down when I'm walking around the lake/bay or stowing it in a box, but it holds the stowed position more than other rigs. Because of this, I have to re-bend it more than other rigs when I take it back out, and that means more stress on lighter wire. Although I undoubtedly fish a lot more than the average person (3-4x/week), I only had this one for 2ish months before the wire snapped when a 3-4 lber jumped, and I could tell the previous versions I had were on the same path before I lost them. Good news is my rig swims totally fine without the side arm, so I guess it didn't entirely break, lmao. Overall, I still give this rig 4 stars because it is somehow still my favorite rig on the market. Even though it has a pretty serious durability issue and it's on the expensive side, I haven't found anything that fills this niche nearly as well. As I said before, its greatest flaw is also its greatest strength, and overall I think it's an acceptable (and unavoidable) tradeoff. Falling in love with this rig has certainly hurt my wallet and heart on a few days, but you really can't beat this rig if you have really small forage or super pressured fish. Tight lines!

Micro Flex RigBig fan of the Micro Flex Rig! I’ve found it to be killer on pressured fish with downsized baits. You can rig it up to throw in almost any depth but I generally throw this one shallower with smaller sized heads. No problems with durability for me had one rig last through tons of fish from last winter-mid spring. Ordering more now for this A-Rig season.

Great build, not bfs though.I'll start by saying, it is definitely micro and it is a fantastic rig. I Love that it comes with the hyper wire split rings because I hate fiddling with snaps, and rarely change jighead size. They say they throw this rig on bfs rods, I have a hard time believing that. Fully rigged with split rings instead of snaps, three 1/8oz swimbait heads with 2.5 mayors and two keitech easy shiners on the teasers it comes in at around 1 oz fully rigged. Still not the weight of a full size 5-6 wire rig. But not bait finesse worthy in my opinion. Any all purpose rod with a decent parabolic action and lure rating up to 7/8s which most medium heavy rods will have, will suffice which is a huge plus not having to break out the big rods for it.

Good for mePretty sure those two complaints are in between 100s of satisfied customers like me. Ive had multiple and just got two more with zero issues. Never had one break or come apart. Just watch the cps spring if you don't have dummys on because they will fall off. Cought so many good ones on this my favorite from Sept-April.

Quality ControlWhen I opened what was supposed to be the two blade micro rig, I found that it was missing both blades. Clearly, they put a bladeless version in the 2-blade packaging. I was ready to write this off as a fluke, but the tactical mini I ordered was missing CPS springs on two of the dummy arms. All-in-all, I would not recommend purchasing this product. It's a real shame, too. I'm a huge fan of the Spunk Shad.

DisappointedI was excited to use this rig and loved the size but was quickly let down when one of the wires broke after the 3rd or 4th use. It cleanly broke off at the head. Besides the poor quality it was catching fish.

Tiny but mightyJust got back from a week of fishing on Chickamauga, and this thing SHOWED OUT!! We were experiencing a really tough bite one day, even Senkos were getting ignored. But I noticed bass busting on groups of minnows (while also ignoring traditional topwaters and shallow cranks). Figured I'd give the Micro Flex a shot, and it absolutely saved the day. My friend had a full-sized A-Rig, and the bass were biting the Micro Flex 5-to-1. They were coming out of the grass to crush it from underneath. This thing is STRONG, too. A few of the larger fish (4+ pounds) would bend the wires a bit during the fight/netting process, but the wires easily straightened back out and not once did I doubt the strength. One modification I made -- I swapped the CPS springs for a smaller size, to better fit the 2.8 Keitechs. I ran two Keitech 2.8s on the side jigheads, and a 3.3 in the center/main jighead. As others have mentioned, the whole "assembled" rig isn't nearly as lightweight as advertised... probably over 1 ounce when it's all said and done. Because of this, I threw it on a Heavy rod with 15# line and did have an occasional issue with bending the hooks on the larger fish; nothing catastrophic, but bent nonetheless. Easily corrected, and I think in future uses I'll drop down to a 7'3 MH with 12# line. The paint on the center polymer "head" did wear off throughout the course of catching 35+ fish, so now it's just a muted grey color. This, however, did not affect it's ability to catch fish in the slightest. I plan on picking up a few more (plus a non-bladed version) to be able to have some different color/weight combinations on standby. Simply put, Matt and Tim did an incredible job designing it, and it's worth every penny. If you hate traditional A-rig fishing, but need an A-rig in your arsenal, this is the bait for you.

THIS THING IS GREAT!I have been trying it out the last couple trips out and it's performing excellent! I have boated over 100 fish the the last couple days with the majority of them being three to four pounds and it's still holding strong.

Cool little rigHaven't used yet but im sure it will produce. The color looks great. How ever there are a couple things to note. The pins for the dummy baits easily come off. Also when fully rigged i feel like its atleast over an ounce. Still lighter than other a rigs i suppose.
