One of the main questions Ken Huddleston is asked is “what swimbait rod should I use for the 6-inch and 8-inch Huddleston Deluxe swimbaits?” Unfortunately, most rod manufacturers offer swimbait rods that are severely under-powered to get the job done.

Comments: Have not used my Hudd Rod yet but will tell all of you when you order from Tackle Warehouse it is Hell or High water to get your order to you. I ordered my Hudd rod online and THE VERY NEXT DAY!!!! Doorbell rings and a big ass tube is sittin on my porch. Back to my Hudd rod... I absolutely love how it feels in my hand. GENIUS!! with the acid layering I put 14oz baits just to see what would happen (I planned another rod for these baits but wanted to see if this rod is true to it's ratings.....IT IS!) and the backbone is STOUT!!! No offense to parabolic rods like ugly stick....Hate em! And not to say they are bad rods they are awesome and understand why but, for me I have never liked a rod that bends at the handle. I like the sensitivity of a fast tip but with the backbone of a UFC fighter because when it comes down to it, my trophy hawg ain't gonna go without a fight. So happy I researched and got my Hudd and Happier still I went through Tackle Warehouse...... Looking for my tackle
and checking to see if TW has it in stock before I order. I know I will be taken care of. Sorry for this not being a PURE Hudd Rod review but so many kudos so little time. I will for sure make comments as soon as I get this bad boy on the pond. Hopin it makes one hell of a flippin stick as well, the balance is incredible. Your gonna freak when your reel centers itself upright on returns in the flat palm of your hands. Looks weird....feels perfect.

Comments: Set up the Hudd Rod up with my Abu garcia revo beast, first trip throwing out some 8" hudds like nothing. The spiral guides around the blank help so much more with structured areas. Hooked up with a 5 lb largemouth, this rod is definitely up for the fight.
