Engineered to minimize weight without sacrificing durability, the Lew's American Hero Tier 1 Series Spinning Reels feature aluminum frames with skeletal C-40 carbon rotors.
Equipped with ten ball bearings and one zero reverse one-way clutch bearing, the Lew's American Hero Tier 1 Series Spinning Reels provide amazing smoothness, while their S-curve oscillation systems create easy start up and improves line lay on their anodized aluminum spools. To ensure their military camo pattern lasts as long as the reels themselves, each reel is put through MultiCam’s authentically unique dip process. Dishing out 14lbs of drag, the Lew's American Hero Tier 1 Series Spinning Reels come complete with Lew’s paddle style combat grips, which are extra tacky and offer enhanced dexterity in all weather conditions. Comments: So far so good. Love the camo on this reel...very cool! It's smooth and has a great drag. Have caught several good size large mouth bass with it here in Florida without any issues.

Comments: I bought this to go along with a Lew's Tier One 7'2" Spinning Rod. I had issues with this reel immediately and sent it back within a few weeks as a part inside the spool broke out. Tackle Warehouse gave me a new one which was great. Used the reel for maybe 45 days and it became increasingly louder and difficult to crank. I sent it back for good this time. I had this exact same issue with the Lew's Custom Speed Pro reel. I have sent that one back 2x for warranty work already. I would not recommend this product.
