Comments: Lew's Baitcasting Reels, I like these Reels more than any reels I have had in the pass, Lew's Reels are the only reel I am using now, 11 Total, Casting, the Drag System, the Size, I would recommend using Lew's Reels.

Comments: Sleek good-looking reel that offers smooth action with light to medium heavy lures like umbrella rigs. Still smooth and powerful when reeling in fish with a dependable sturdy drag system. Can't complain about this one, especially at the price point.

Comments: I was really impressed with this reel, but three months later it failed to reel up. It just won't reel up, the crank just spins and the spool does not. You can get it to reel up if you manually turn the spool. I took it apart and nothing looks to be wrong, I oiled the bearings with reel oil (they still had the factory lube), but still won't reel properly. Great reel when it worked, but it stopped working after a couple of outings. First Lew's reel I bought, will be my last.

Comments: The new SLP Bait Casting Reel is just phenomenal. It can cast braided or fluorocarbon line to very far distances. I use this reel for slinging Jackhammer Chatterbaits out on the California Delta. When retrieving & reeling in line, it is ultra smooth! The drag power in fighting & hauling in mammoth sized fish is very powerful & makes it so easy like taking candy away from a baby! An excellent reel & LEWS is a quality name that speaks high volumes!

Comments: Well since I bought it for my dad, with no baitcasting experience, he was able to get this reel dialed and cast over 100 feet with a jig. After he figured it out it was on! Worth the money.

Comments: This reel is definitely nice for the money. Very light weight and smooth reeling. I bought 5 of them to replace some outdated reels I had. I use them all for moving baits.( spinner baits, lipless crainkbaits, swim baits, etc.) Haven't had an issue yet.

Comments: Very nice reel for the money. Bought this for my 7 year old grandson that loves to fish. Been working with him on the use of a baitcaster and he is doing very well with it. Made some adjustments to the brake and spool tension and he is casting like a pro. Paired it with a Lew's rod for a really nice combo. Always very pleased with TW.

Comments: Super light, the plastic is very sensitive to boat rash and scratches, which scared me at first but it has no effect on functionality. Not the best with casting light lures, I've used weightless baits and you really have to give it some brakes to keep from getting bird nest. I'd pick one up if you need an extra combo or a technique you don't use full time, but I wouldn't want to give this to a guy who is brand new to baitcasting. 8/10

Comments: Was looking for a lighter reel to fish top water exclusively. The reel has done an exceptional job considering it's cost. Cast far and smooth.

Comments: Do not BUY mine pretty much self-destructed right after the 1 year warranty and being 14 years old I don't have the money to just go out and buy another . You just need to spend the extra 20 bucks and get the next level reel.

Comments: Definitely worth the money. I really enjoy mine. 6:8:1 for throwing bladed jigs was surprised with how smooth it is.

Comments: A nice reel for the money. Cast well and drag is smooth. Best Lews reel I've picked up for under $100. A little bit tough to get dialed in with some baits, but works great once dialed in.
