Housed in a lightweight, one-piece SLP graphite frame and side plate, the Lew’s Mach Smash SLP Casting Reel comes equipped with a premium 7+1 bearing system and high-strength, solid brass speed gears, which ensure smooth, uninterrupted performance.
Allowing anglers to transition from bait to bait without sacrificing performance, the Lew’s Mach Smash SLP Casting Reel boasts an externally adjustable Magnetic Control System (MCS) and a machined, large capacity spool, which work to boost efficiency when casting. Blending power with performance, the Lew’s Mach Smash SLP Casting Reel is backed by a durable Rulon drag system that outputs 15lbs of drag.
Complete with premium accents from end to end, the Lew’s Mach Smash SLP Casting Reel is fitted with graphite drag star, combat grip thumb bar, zirconia line guide, and an anodized aluminum spool tension cap. Finished with a 95mm bowed, anodized aluminum handle with Lew’s combat paddle knobs, Lew’s Mach Smash SLP Casting Reel captures all of the winning attributes that anglers need to “smash” the competition.

Comments: Don't let the color or the name sway you away. This reel is legit. You see the Mach Smash combo's in big box stores and they look cheap...the reel is bright red, sure, but it performs every bit as good as my LFS and other Lew's. It's much better than a base SLX in my opinion. I picked up one of these on sale, had to get another. Used both all last year and still every weekend now. It really does it all. Used mine inshore as well, zero issues.

Comments: Put some braid on it or lube it up and it will cast as far as my 250$ reels and the breaks aren't cheap either so good bout to buy some more. :3
