Comments: I've been using this for almost 2 years now, so I have a good idea about how this rod performs over time. Overall I love it, I got the 7" MH fast action for using jigs, frogs, spinnerbaits, and worms. It is a nice lightweight and balanced rod, and it has the power to really set the hook in heavy cover. It is my perfect budget all purpose casting rod for largemouth. The winn grips are a plus and I like the highly sensitive reel seat. I recommend this rod to everyone. Thanks, Lew's

From: Colin: MN 12/23/22

Comments: Ordered the 7'3 heavy rod and it works perfect for my heavier jigs, my hookup ratio has gone way up. All my tp1s hold up just as well as my higher end rods and considering the price 10/10 would recommend it.

From: Dylan B: Texas 11/10/22

Comments: I have two now in the 7'3" Medium Heavy Action Moderate Tip. I use them for 1/2oz Bladed Jigs because I read a review on the best Bladed Jog Rods, and in the article, it had this one listed as the #2 choice. Plus, I'm a Lew's fan. So far, they have been excellent for Bladed Jig use. Hook up ratio has been like 70 to 5. It had plenty of backbone for hook sets but a soft enough tip to let them eat it. I muscled in a couple of 6lbers without a problem. The Moderate tip will have plenty of flex in it also so that when they Grow Wings, they have a very difficult time getting any slack in the line. I was pleasantly surprised how much better this rod was performing compared to what I was using which had to fast of a tip. Great Bladed Jig Rod. Peace!

From: Greg: Ravenna, OH 6/26/22

Comments: Gotta 7''3 heavy years ago for a frog/jig rod. Absolutely loved it. I can be very hard on rods and this one's stood strong. Still a rod I use every time on the water. Now almost my whole lineup consists of these tp1s in different sizes and actions. For the price this is the best rod I've owned. Compares with many rods more expensive imo. Go get it!

From: Riley: Unknown 5/9/22

Comments: I purchased the 7' Medium moderate to use mostly for smaller squarebill and treble hook baits. It feels great and balances pretty well. I personally love the Winn grips on all my Lew's stuff. This is a great rod especially for 100 bucks if you're considering it don't hesitate. Sensitive a softer moderate tip is great but the rod still has a ton of background when you need it. It's actually labeled as a bladed jig rod I haven't got a chance to try that yet but I will I usually throw chatterbaits on a medium heavy but I bet this rod is awesome for that too. Overall I will probably definitely get more from this line of rods!

From: Pat: Rochester NY 4/4/22

Comments: I got the 7,3 and 7,6 heavy so far they feel great I liked the feel of Winn grips also how sensitive they are for 100 dollar rod. I ordered a couple more 7,2 med heavy all casting models 2 more 7,3 7,6 models. Use for flipping and throwing frogs and some swim baits, highly reccomend.

From: Willy : Wurtsboro, NY 3/31/22

Comments: I have not used the rods yet, but so far they feel great. I love the Winn grips and the blank feels very sturdy. Overall it is very lightweight and I think you definitely get more than what you pay for at $100. I will say that these rods are on the stiffer side, but I see that as a positive.

From: Sam: New York 3/13/22

Comments: I got the 7'3 MH as a warranty replacement for a Mach 2 7' MH, and my main complaint is that it seems more on the heavy side, like casting 1/2 oz football jigs never seem to quite load it up. I know certain blanks can be heavier than others, so I might've gotten one of those. Apart from that, paired with a SLX or Curado it works really well for the price. The aesthetic and grips are a nice touch as well. Overall, I prefer the Mach 2 slightly, but both are great options.

From: Skylar: Georgia 1/22/22

Comments: Great rod, got the 7 foot medium heavy and it has performed very well. First time out with it caught a 4 and 1/2 pounder. It hadeled it very well. My only issue is that the real seat is stained yellow and not white as portrayed. This is a minor detail but it bothers me for some reason. Overall great reel would recommend.

From: Theo: Iowa 1/19/22

Comments: I started with one of the medium heavys liked it so much i now have 10 of them from heavy down to med light great rods for a great price

From: Bronson: Louisiana 1/18/22

Comments: Extremely light weight and sensitive, this rod is a dream to fish with.

From: Mark: Temecula Ca 12/2/21

Comments: This rod is great, its light and sensitive. I have it paired up with the Lew's Custom Pro and spooled up with 15 fluoro and it is perfect for texas rigs. You can feel subtle bites.

From: Marco: Chicago, IL 10/6/21

Comments: Great rod . Well built and sensitive. Not tip heavy at all. Has lots of power to get a bass out of any cover quickly.

From: Clint: Sam Rayburn, TX 8/14/21

Comments: Light weight, great casting ability, have bought (2) thinking of buying third.

From: Clem 7/29/21

Comments: Awesome rod for the price Lews rods are always good!

From: Unknown: 7/18/21

Comments: Awesome rod for the price point. In fact so much so I bought another one and plan on getting a third.

From: Clem: San Diego, CA 7/13/21

Comments: light. sensitive, good quality for this price point. paired with the mean green 13 caster. sensitive. my main Chatter bait rod. so far.. so good.

From: Lisa: Ohio 5/8/21

Comments: Bought the 7'2" medium heavy for a new all-purpose rod. The rod feels good in hand, the action is pretty on point not to stiff or soft in the tip. Another great product from Lews I would definitely recommend.

From: Matt: Southern Indiana 4/24/21

Comments: Hello my name is Ryan, I have been fishing for about 30 years or more. I first started using Lew's LFS series reels about 12 to 15 years ago, i still own and use those reels today. so i first ventured into lews rods with the affordability of the Laser series. iwas impressed with it's performance day in and out.During that time i also aquired the Lews TP1 7'6' heavy flipping and A-rig rod which has been outstanding. So when they came out with the TP1X Iwas quick to purchase 8 new TP1X rods to replace my age rods. The new TP1X HM40 7'6" heavy is of the same quality as the previous with a few changes in design; lighter with a smaller profile that when married with my LFS reels fist my hands exceptionally well. The sensitivity is of high quality as is it's backbone. Love the new WINN grips. As for it's new bait keeper location, not my favorite, but does the job. Overall I give the new TP1X in all categories i.e. casting , flipping, cranking an 8 out of 10. great quality for the price. with the TP1X rods and the LFS series reels you are ready for true tournament performance for around 200 dollars.

From: Ryan: Winter Haven 3/3/21

Comments: This thing is perfect. I bought it as primarily a square bill rod because I didnt have anything that could toss a KVD 1.5 as far as I'd like. This may be listed as a bladed jig rod which I'm sure it could handle (I like medium heavy for this), but I've found it perfect for square bills, jerkbaits, wiggle warts, and rock crawlers. Being a medium moderate graphite rod it has plenty of parabolic action for treble hooks while still being strong enough for shallow water use and jerking. Much better than using glass for these situations in my opinion and makes it the perfect all around cranking rod which filled a lot of gaps in my line up. I can't say enough good things about this rod especially for the price.

From: Cody 2/21/21

Comments: Love this rod. Crankbait dedicated!Lews all the way!

From: Tusing: Morgantown, WV 2/3/21

Comments: Best Rod for the money hands down. Somehow they upgraded the blank and kept the price the same from the older TP1 line up. Personally have the medium moderate bladed jig rod. I use it more for 3/8 sized squarebills than I do bladed jigs because I like throwing bladed jigs on a MH, but its great for both. My buddy has a MH-Fast and loves it as well.

From: CC: Ohio 1/21/21

Comments: My new favorite rod! Lews has done it again.. light sensitive rod! Especially at the price point!

From: Aaron: Florida 1/2/21

Comments: Awesome rod. These aren't available in Canada yet and I have to pay a premium for shipping and duties. Most owners will say "Lews is the best rod for the price." Even after paying a premium, I find these rods to outperform most rods that are available at bass pro and cabelas Canada.

From: Michael - Toronto, Ontario, Canada 11/28/20

Comments: Recently bought the 7' medium rod at my local Dick's Sporting Goods. Rod is light and sensitive. Fished it about 10 times now. The winn grips are nice. Overall I think this a great rod for the price. Would buy another.
