Overview

The ultimate swimbaits for big bass sessions, the Megabass Magdraft Freestyle Swimbaits are built with a snub-nose, pre-cut belly, and recessed top groove that makes rigging easy for anglers of all levels. Maintaining the hard-thumping tail action and deadly head shake of the original, the Megabass Magdraft Freestyle Swimbaits bring a new bag of tricks to the Magdraft’s proven performance.

Perfect for rigging with a 6/0 or 8/0 screw lock style hook, the Megabass Magdraft Freestyle Swimbaits excel around submerged vegetation where savvy monsters lie, like shade lines, grass lanes, and isolated cover. Excellent for tule lines, laydowns, slow-rolling the depths, and machine-gun skips to the darkest recesses of promising docks and overhangs. For extra appeal in open water situations, try adding a blade to the Megabass Magdraft Freestyle Swimbait to amplify drawing power.

For chunk-rock, river ledges, and main lake drop-offs, the Megabass Magdraft Freestyle Swimbaits pair well with a heavy jighead, so anglers can explore new depths where the Magdraft has yet to roam. While a line through rigging makes a great option for shallow flats and skipping underneath overhanging trees. Offered in a wide selection of refined colors, the Megabass Magdraft Freestyle Swimbaits allow anglers to utilize the Magdraft’s proven effectiveness throughout an even broader range of techniques.

Solid Weedless ChoiceThis bait is my #1 weedless bait. Durability is okay considering what it’s made of. Great colors to choose from and a consistent quality swimming action. I see this bait getting bad reviews for the eyes falling off but who cares. The fish for sure don’t care. I use the 6/0 Owner beast from 1/2 - 3/4 Oz

Good, but not greatGood during bedding season. Issue was an eye fell off within three cast. Be prepared to buy replacement eyes.

Previous Feedback

Comments: Purchased this swimbait and within 10 casts the eye fell off. I like to throw rubber swimbaits for musky in the winter. After comparing this directly to a keitech, I would certainly go with the keitech. The reason being is you can purchase 2 packs for the price of 1 Magdraft, and also the keitech is more limber which allows it to have a much less restricted swimming action in the water. I have to really crank the magdraft fast in order to get the desired action out of the swimbait.

Comments: Fell apart on the first fish (a 5lber), tore the screwlock out of the nose. Either way I'm sold on this bait, it's weedless and gets bit by big bass. It looks great in the water, like a frantic bait fish.

Comments: Got this lure in the mail last week. Today I caught my PB and four other bass between 3-5lbs today. 5 for 5 on bite to land ratio (using Owner beast hook). The lure is a bit torn up after 5 fish but still runs true.

Comments: Bought a pack of MB Gizzards recently. With my 3rd cast with the Mag draft, i caught a 10' 2 oz bass. Awsome bait that gets the big girls attention. Love it !!!

From: Shannon : Natchez Mississippi 10/18/21

Comments: This is great finesse option. Comes clean through vegetation and has a nice tight wobble. Only issue is burying the hook in the plastic, it rips up and won't sit right after a couple fish. Overall I'd say it's durable though.

Comments: This swim bait straight catches them! Very durable bait as well. Caught over a dozen 2-5 lb bass on one bait and it was still usable. Trokar 7/0 3/8 oz. belly weight worked well for us.

From: Unknown: 6/15/20

Comments: Gets bit! very durable body and versatile. Fish it slow, fast, in between, near the surface, middle column, or the bottom. Larger profile, fish see it from afar and smash. Where I'm from toothy fish like it too and it's durability has even survived, teeth marks and sliced up and still swims fresh! Get a pack!

From: Anthony: Wisconsin 3/16/20

Comments: The first bait fell apart after two small bass, the second fell apart just from the impact of hitting the water. The video Megabass put on YouTube even mentions that these baits fall apart. I'm not going to throw any more money into a bait that holds up to less fish than a plastic from a $3 pack off the shelf at Walmart.

Comments: VERY nice swimbait. Catches them shallow and deep. Great head and tail action. Super versatile.

From: M: Texas 12/6/19

Comments: Just slays bass on lake mead .. ( stripers mostly ) work the bait s.u.p.e.r slowwww about every 10/15 feet give it 3/4 twitches & hold on .. caught 11 in 3 hours bait surprisingly held up well .. tad bit of mend it in midsection and ready to go for another day . I can't emphasize enough to go slowwww... tease them into nailing this bait and their instincts kick in.
