Please Note: Colors may vary slightly, since all baits are hand-poured.
The brainchild of professional angler and early swimbait adopter, Fred Roumbanis, the Optimum Boom Boom 6” Weedless Swimbait is modeled after a discontinued swimbait that has cashed multiple big checks on the BASS Elite Series. Thoroughly researched and developed to replicate the tight vibration of a shad, the Optimum Boom Boom 6” Weedless Swimbait borrows elements of design from several of Optimum’s premium swimbaits and combines them into one trophy-catching package.
Fitted with pectoral and anal fins to help reduce rolling at high speeds, the Optimum Boom Boom 6” Weedless Swimbait utilizes the wide frame of the Bubba Shad, but in a slightly smaller, 6-inch design. Built with the original Optimum face, the Optimum Boom Boom 6” Weedless Swimbait features a ribbed boot tail that produces a mean tail kick and a wide, yet controlled body roll at various retrieves.
Designed to be fished slowly around cover with a weighted screw lock swimbait hook, the Optimum Boom Boom 6” Weedless Swimbait delivers a signature “panic action” which entices lurking fish into striking the bait. To put it simply, the Optimum Boom Boom 6” Weedless Swimbait is one killer chunk of plastic.
“As a touring pro angler, I know the importance of ‘one big bite.’ Why not use a bait that produces several big bites a day? our goal at Optimum Baits is to create the ultimate tournament-approved swimbait that works from coast-to-coast.” – Elite Series Angler Fred Roumbanis

Comments: I love these swimbaits. I rig them with an 8/0 flashy swimmer. Baits are super soft, tail & head action is really great. Sure they get chewed up and eyes fall off very easily but it's nothing that mend it can't fix. They flat out get bit, even in pressured waters.

Comments: Pretty decent swimbait honestly for the price I've caught a hand full of bass over 5lbs so far. I feel like having a slower gear ratio in your reel is key with these swim baits theydon't swim well at high speeds . Bumping them off the bottom at a slow pace I found works well.

Comments:This is my least favorite swimbait that I have ever used, I rigged it on a size 6 owner beast hook. It needs to be swam very fast to get and kick from the tail, even after boiling it. But the weight on the hook wasn't enough because it kept coming to the top and washing out, so I added some nail weights to keep it down but all in all I do not recommend. It also falls apart very easily.

Comments:I've read the other reviews and yes the eyes don't stay on very well. But if you reel slowly and get that paddle tail working just right, it will produce like no other swim bait as the tail action and body style are like no other swim bail that I've used. I've used them for two years now and wow. As a side note, they do not skin hook very well and the plastic tears fairly easily but I repair them with Plastic Weld. For you Musky guys, get some. Comments:I wanted to try multiple sets before writing what is considered to be a fair review. With each set of 3, the eyes would completely fall apart before they even hit the water. Most, but not all of them, became extremely sticky to the point that it was like the rubbery material it's made of was starting to melt. They were all kept inside the house, so I know heat wasn't an issue. Overall, I would not recommend.

Comments:I'm confused reading the positive reviews because this thing is terrible.I've never reviewed a lure because they can all catch fish. That said, I had to talk about this one. This swim bait has a THICK tail.Reel too slowly and there's no action on the tail.Reel it too fast and it just lays on its side.I'll keep playing with it and try to tune it but there are MUCH better swim baits out there. Was rigged on a 10/0 Owner.

Comments:the 6 inch is the best for beginners i rig it with a 8 ot hook owner swim bait hook, my first impressions are it has great tail action and head wobble, you can't burn it or it will turn sideways, i had a four pounder eat it head first and it popped an eye out and it chew part of it so they aren't that durable but they catch big fish

Comments:buy the 4.5. Match it with a 1/4 oz swimbait hook. Reel it low and slow around trees and grass. Set the hook hard because that train wreck of a bite that's coming is probably a big fish.

Comments:Both sizes are perfect for the mid-west bass. Love them and the action is sweet.

Comments:Got my order of Baby Boom's in on Thursday , paired them with an Owner Beast 6/0 and the Ghost Rider got me a nice fish Friday night up in North Texas. Love it and plan to use a lot more when I heard out. Great action, life like, and that owner hook could be a trailer hitch.
From:Shaun: Aubrey 10/3/17
Comments: The Boom Boom is a thick bait. The 8/0 Beast hook doesn't have enough bite when the bait collapses to get a good hook-up. Gonna order the 10/0 and try that instead.

Comments:This bait produces the big fish bite around heavy cover. I catch big fish on this bait in areas I have fished several times before without a bite. Great bait and works well with the Owner Beast 10/0 hook.
From: Bryan: Richardson, Texas 6/16/17
Comments:This is one of the best big fish baits I ever used. It may take a little tweaking with weight to get to depths that you want to fish. But once its set. Amazing. Use nail weights to get it swimming straight that's the key. Money

Comments:I like this swimbait and it does have good action. I'm all for baits I can rig on the owner beast hooks.
From:Connor: MS 4/5/17
Comments:This swimbait has a great action to it and definitely draws bites from big bass. These are excellent swimbaits if you have a budget. The only thing that i would improve on these is the durability.
From:Andrew: Dover 12/10/16
Comments:This bait truly has a frantic tight action. It really reminds me of a fleeing shad. Durability is very good. catches fish
