Overview

Designed by FLW Tour pro, David Dudley, the Perfection Lures Sure Hook Up Shaky Head is the most reliable stand-up jig ever created. Built with two titanium wire legs, the Sure Hook Up Shaky Head works in conjunction with its flat bottom football head to ensure it stays upright in any type of environment. The innovative design keeps your favorite soft plastic bait vertical so it's more visible to the fish, and allows them to engulf the entire lure which ultimately boosts your hook-up ratio throughout the day.

Great around grass, wood, and rocks, the Sure Hook Up Shaky Head is also outfitted with a recessed line tie to help protect your knot from abrasions, and a hardened plastic bait keeper holds your soft plastic trailer secure and locked into place as well.  Available in multiple sizes, the Perfection Lures Sure Hook Up Shaky Head is an absolute game changer when it comes to finesse fishing shaky heads.

Comments: The #1 issue is my line tangles with the feet just about every other cast.  I don't know about the hook or any other part of it, because I could not consistently get the bait into the water for a productive presentation.

From: Coach: Shell Knob, MO 5/21/21

Comments: I never write reviews but I feel strongly about these and I want them to continue to be available to me.  I received some a sub box and started panicking when it came time to replace them and couldn't figure out what brand they were at first.  Seemed gimmicky but they are legit.  I rig it weedless so I wish the angle were a bit different (so it would look a bit more natural) but these straight get bit and they get bit on pressured lakes.  I thought the leg (feet?) would fall apart but they are sturdy.  I have fished the most recent head I'm using for hours on each of my last few trips and after many catches and often banging up against brush and rock, it is in great shape.  Some paint scraped on rocks (to be expected) but structurally everything is in great shape.  I thought I would have trouble with the keeper when using thinner worms but I have not had any all.  The legs do their job and that worm tail sticking up drives 'em nuts

From: Bobby: Northern California 4/15/21

Comments: Great thought and design, but the hooks are absolute garbage. Too weak and too dull.

From: Brandon: South Carolina 8/25/20

Comments: I will be totally honest, I thought these were a gimmick.  I heard David Dudley talk about them and he demonstrated in a swimming pool and they seemed to work so I gave a pack a try.  They do not stand up 100% of the time but they do most of the time.  Quality hook and they do catch fish.

From: Mike: Rockford, IL 7/8/19

Comments: I fish a lot of shallow rock and the construction and sales video made it seem "fool-proof", but after trying it, I would not buy again. It is far from "perfection" and just as prone to hang-ups as any other shakey head in the 3/16 oz size I got. As others have pointed out, line will tangle around the "feet" even with mono. In short, it's just not worth the bother to get a stand-up bait that you can get with any shakey head and a worm with a floating tail.

From: Ed: Champaign, IL 6/8/19

Comments: Great idea, but the stand up feet break too easily. I really liked the presentation, but I can't be having my standup jigs breaking and just turning to football heads each time i fish.

From: Unknonwn: 5/28/19

Comments: So I used these for the first time a few days ago. Not even really sure where I got them. I think they were given to me but I gotta say at first they seemed more gimmicky than anything but after first use they're now my favorite Shakey Head! You get excellent hookups and they keep your bait standing straight up on the bottom. Caught 3 fish biggest being 3lbs and it was a perfect hookset right in the roof of the mouth every time. The only complaint I have is after a few snags or a few hard fighting fish the legs will break. But even after that keep fishing them just like a normal Shakey head without a problem! Overall 8/10. Only thing that would make them better would be if the legs were stronger and they had a screw lock. Definitely gonna be in my box from here on out.

From: Nate: Suffolk, VA 6/26/18

Comments: First I would like to say the concept is great. I also think the titanium arms look like little feet so you don't have to worry about the extra hardware looking unnatural. My only con is that they snap off extremely easy. Be careful while rigging and just pray they don't break after the first fish. Luckily customer service is kind and will work on fixing any problems. Please give them a shot and I can't wait to try the football jig.

From: Chris: Cave Creek, AZ

Comments: this shaky head are the best, most hookups are in top of mouth. 1st time i used i didn't miss a bite.

From: Ronnie: High Point, NC 5/1/18

Comments: The best shakey head by a long shot.   It's perfect.   Wal-Mart has these in my area for the same price.   Deadly on spots and smallies.   The absolute best plastic for this is a gene larew rattlin crawler.   I shouldn't give up that plastic as its got me on fish that others might miss!

From: Evan: Broken Arrow  OK 4/1/18

Comments: The ultimate Ned Rig jig !  Effortless 100% standup capability with the ability to avoid most snags that hinder most setups.  This product is the answer to my prayers.  Winter does not stop me from fishing anymore !

From: Paul: Dallas, Texas 1/13/18

Comments: Hate finesse fishing with passion but when things get tough this shaky head with a Yum dinger or a damiki stinger will catch fish when nothing else will.

From: Adam - Eunice, LA 12/16/17

Comments: A great head - I prefer these over nearly any other when fishing rocks -  hopefully making 3/8 oz soon.

From: Dustin: Texas 11/3/17

Comments: Really innovative way to fish a shakey head.  I have not lost one yet and have caught all 3 species of bass on it with no complaints other than the line can wrap on the stand up wires when you skip it.  Even when it gets hung up, it is not hung, just give it slack for a second or two and pop it free.

From: Matt : Broken Arrow 6/24/17

Comments: Yes They work Yes They  do stand Up.  One thing that can Happen.  Just Like Using Braided Line on any Lure .  It can Rap around the Pegs and then Not work right if Tied on directly with Light Braid.. A Leader of Mono Or Flo will Help or Use all Of as Your Main Line.Same thing Happens with topwater and Crankbaits. Raps around the Hooks as well.  That not the Problem with this Shaky Head.  All Fixed by Using the Right Line  or Setup

From: Marvin 6/7/17

Comments: I was lucky enough to get several packs on pre-order.  Very simple...they work.  Now not all worms will allow this head to work as designed because they only go up to a 1/4 oz and too much plastic will topple any head of that light of a weight.  If you are using a traditional shakey head worm like a trick worm, finesse worm, bottom hopper, etc. then it will excel.  I have had this thing "hung-up" quite a bit but I find if you let the worm settle, then give a pop straight up it will come loose. Haven't lost one yet.  I paired the 1/4 oz with a Yum Wooly Hawg Craw and it was a match made in heaven.  Been killing the smallmouth down here in Oklahoma on it.  Solid hook, so I have been sticking them really well.  I would add that you should retie after each fish because the line almost always gets wrapped around the little feelers during the fight.  I think this is a great improvement on a popular style of fishing.

From: Matt: Broken Arrow, OK 5/23/17

Comments: Really awesome if you can get them.  Sharp hooks.  I ordered three packs, and a single jighead had one of the wires loose.  All others were affixed ok.  No complaints, a little epoxy fixed the one dud.

From: Enrique: Austin, TX 5/18/17

Comments: WOW!!! This shakey really works. About 90% of my fish are hooked in the top of mouth (bony) part. They are hard to order right now, but well worth it.
