Comments: I have a 703 Endurance. It isn't on TW yet. It is an awesome spinning rod. A lot of tip and then a short transition into backbone. However, it doesn't have so much tip to where you can't cast accurately in tight quarters. Flukes, drop shot, wacky, small swimbaits, ultralight crank baits, it works well with them all. Super sensitive. I have felt bites on bomb casts with flukes that I couldn't have with some of my other spinning gear. No trouble getting the hook in them either. Super light and balances perfectly with a Shimano Miravel. I know why Wesley Strader is so pumped up about this stick.

Comments: Have had the pleasure of owning the Powell Endurance Spinning Rod 7'2" Medium Composite model for a couple of months now. I was looking for a rod to throw small soft plastics to spooky redfish, so casting distance was a large consideration. Also, sensitivity while maintaining some backbone to land a 7+ pound redfish around structure would be required. It pretty much nailed my intended use. What really impresses me is the sensitivity of the rod. While throwing small soft plastics (1/8th oz) and letting the lure fall, I can feel fish that I wouldn't otherwise on other rods.

Comments: I own 2 Endurance 732MLEF spinning rods. And I find myself using them more on average compared to most my other spinning rods. For the money, these rods are a phenomenal value. Very sensitive and responsive, and the blanks are true to their power ratings overall as well . I like a versatile spinning rod and the 7'3 Medium Light, extra fast action is just that. I can throw 1/10oz Ned heads with small 2" Ned baits, all the way to 5" stickbaits or 6" finesse worms on a 1/4oz head without any issues whatsoever. The rod handles both of these ends of the weight rating without any problems. I fish 10lb sufix832 braid to a 6lb Seaguar invisx leader and have no issues feeling bottom composition in 40' of water or more. Hard to find a better, more versatile spinning rod for the money imo. And if you're a tackle-snob like me, you're very particularly picky with what you choose to fish with and spend your money on when it comes to rods and reels. I've never really had any issue with premature rod breakage from Powell rods but I've heard Powell does right by their customers if it happens. These Endurance rods are the real deal. If you like fishing clear water reservoirs with finesse tactics and are in the market for a spinning rod just do yourself a favor and buy a 732.

Comments: I have several of the old max 3-D and love them.....the max cost 40 bucks less and outperforms the 3-D max...lighter, too.....very very light and very sensitive....tournament grade rods at $150 aren't easy to come by...this IS one of those rods. It may be the least expensive spinning rod I own, but you would never know it on the water. Great rod...5 star value here for sure... powell makes a great stick!

Comments: Replaced and older Powell max with a newer 7-5 model. Like the rod but it lasted two trips before the tip snapped. Seems to be a consistent theme with the newer Powell rod blanks for me. LOVED the older max rods, the newer spinning rods just don't seem to hold up well. Have had similar issues with the inferno rods breaking tips. Powell's customer service is awesome, but I think the blanks could use some attention.

Comments: I bought the 7'2" mod-fast composite rod, looking for something I could use for light crankbaits... shadrap 5, 1.0 squarebill, etc. It is a pretty stiff rod and not well suited for the lower end of its lure weight range. I would say 1/4 oz. is the minimum weight you should expect to throw on this. It does become more moderate when loaded with a fish. It is a nice looking, well built rod. Just don't expect anything close to a moderate action when loaded with a lure, especially lures on the lighter end of the published weight range. I think it will be a decent jerkbait rod, although I haven't tried that yet.
