Overview

Designed by Major League Fishing pro and frog fishing pioneer, Dean Rojas, the Spro Dean Rojas Bronzeye Poppin Frog 70 is the biggest popping frog in the Bronzeye line-up and is built for catching quality, check-cashing sized bass. Featuring the same shape and body profile as the original Bronzeye Popping Frog just bigger, the Spro Dean Rojas Bronzeye Poppin Frog 70 casts like a bullet and allows anglers to reach areas where the big bass are hiding. Once it hits the water, it is perfectly weighted to sit upright every time and its oversized cupped mouth, creates a loud chugging and spitting action that will attract fish from a long distance. The longer profile also allows it to easily walk-the-dog in open water with the slightest rod twitch. It can even be used over the top of heavy mats and vegetation, giving anglers a wide range of versatility as well.

To ensure you put more of those big fish in your livewell, the Spro Dean Rojas Bronzeye Poppin Frog 70 is armed with a 5/0 Gamakatsu EWG Double Frog Hook that delivers lightning fast hook penetration and enough power to pull lunker-sized bass out of the thickest of cover. Finished with a set of living rubber legs that add even more action, the Spro Dean Rojas Bronzeye Poppin Frog 70 is available in a wide selection of proven fish catching colors that will help you catch bigger bass.

Comments: Great frog you can cast it a country mile.

From: Kim: 8/30/23

Comments: The size helps the fish find this bait in the thicker grass. Great hooks.

From: Unknown: 7/20/23

Comments: Let me just say this. It is not the best frog. It is not the worst frog. This is the workhorse of all poppin frogs. The one you own 50 of and then just supplement with others for certain situations. It's an all around good frog. Could be better with some minor tweaks to the sealing, softness of material in terms of frogs is I would say a medium stiff.

From: Unknown: 7/16/23

Comments: Sadly I can't recommend this frog. When it works, it is a great frog, and the bigger hook is fantastic. But every other frog I buy sinks. Opened a brand new one and within 3 casts in a tournament it sank. When you get a good one it won't sink and you can squeeze the water out like other frogs. But the bad ones sink under the water and are unusable.

From: 1puttric: Ft. Lauderdale 7/5/23

Comments: The best popping frog out there... Slim profile with a larger bait... Black and blue is my preferred color... Catch em up!

From: Christopher: New York 6/28/23

Comments: This has to be the best frog lure out there right now. It has a slim body which allows it to get into many tight areas and with its heavy weight you can punch it into those areas too. This frog will last a very long time which is great. The only fallbacks is that the color selection is not like the other models, as of now. Another drawback is the price. The Spro frogs are great but seems like every year the price gets higher and higher so I have been replacing the legs myself and using glue when needed. I would recommend this frog to all who are on the market for the best frog out there.

From: Jerry G.: Vail 6/24/23

Comments: There are frogs, and then there's Frogs. This is the latter. It doesn't get better. Color schemes for every situation. Quality components and construction. It pops. It slides. It even walks! Kissimmee bass get angry at these frogs!

From: Brett: Bradenton FL 5/10/23

Comments: Larger size 70 seems to get more quality bites & the dinks pretty much leave it alone. Best poppin' frog on the market! Trim the tails some & Put 2 or 3 worm rattles inside the hollow body at the point where the double hooks come out for an even better bait with more casting distance. Stomp down killer!

From: Robin: Mobile, AL 4/10/23

Comments: I've used the smaller version with fairly good success so I tried the 70 hoping for some bigger bites. My first time out, the body filled with water on every cast rendering it essentially useless after a handful of pops. Needless to say I was quite disappointed.

From: Steve: Boca Raton 3/12/23

Comments: When it comes to frogs, Spro is the leader in frogs. This new bigger frog is great for casting distances and hitting your targeted areas such as under trees, mats, and in the gaps of toolies. They have not reached the vast color options as the little brother frogs but the colors that they do have are basic and great. The material used on this frog is great which makes it very durable. I do like the fact that Spro did bring in the longer rubber legs and allows the user to customize the length of the legs instead of "out of the box pre-determined leg lengths". The only flaw of this frog is the price. Kind of steep in my eyes but it is the only frog out there of this caliber.

From: Jerry G.: Vail, AZ 2/13/23

Comments: This Poppin Frog 70 is exactly as advertised. There are softer frogs available which probably result in more hookups but the trade-off is the softies don't last as long. I like this frog.

From: William: San Diego, CA 10/15/22

Comments: I'm a Spro fan! But as the other reviews state this frog was a complete disappointment. The first cast the hook eye split the cupped face. I tried to mend it but after a few casts it opens up again! Being in FL this bigger frog should be the ticket. PLEASE Spro figure this out!

From: Shawn: FL 10/2/22

Comments: I've never had a problem with any of the other Spro frogs, but this 70 size takes on water worse than any frog I've ever fished. It fills up every.. single.. cast. I bought two and they both have this problem. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone, ever.

From: Josh: Tennessee 9/1/22

Comments: This frog looks great out of the package. The white color is stunning. Casts like a bullet. I have not been able to make it walk, but it makes a good commotion with the cupped mouth. Hooks are razor sharp. I expect big bass to come on this frog!

From: Douglas G: Gretna, NE 7/24/22

Comments: It's got good hooks on it, but there are better frogs out there now, this frog doesn't have the best hook up ratio, and if you don't have the best hook up, then it's not worth it to me.

From: Unknown: 12/12/21

Comments: Not impressed frog fills with water half way back to boat, junk!! Buy the 6th sense vega frog, you won't be disappointed

From: Big wormz: Pasadena 7/28/21

Comments: cant stand a frog that fills with water. wanted to like it but cant spend $10 a pop for something that is defective and doesnt do the one thing a hollow body frog should do.

From: Unknown: 7/23/21

Comments: I snatched a few of these up when they first became available and was very impressed. No complaints. Casts great. Hookups are great. Durability seems great. Can't wait to get more!

From: Patrick: West Lafayette, IN 7/21/21

Comments: Good frog. The heavier 70 mm frog provides easier casting on a broader range of rod actions.

From: Unknown: Melbourne, FL 6/20/21

Comments: Awesome frog! I've been waiting for Spro to make a larger pop frog. It casts very well and easier to put it exactly where you need it to be. Walks like a dream and skips great. Very versatile action too. You can make a lot of commotion but you can be very subtle with it as well. The big cupped face doesn't come thru super heavy cover that well but moderate cover and open water this bait gets it done. First few casts on the killer gill put a 4.5 lber in the boat, hooked up solid.

From: Unknown: Havasu, AZ 6/10/21

Comments: Bought three of these, all fill with water in half a cast. Used mega strike to fill in the hole while on the water till I could fix em at home. That being said they catch fish, nice pop and love the larger profile. First fish was a six pounder that did a backflip when she hit it.
